Cerberus didn't scare Castiel, but he knew better than to reach his hand out and pet one of its heads. He stood as still as a statue, watching the beautiful woman walk out from behind her huge guardian dog and stand over him, looking down at him with dark eyes. He knew who she was, and wasn't about to do or say anything to get on his bad side. Getting on the bad side of Hades was enough, he didn't need to have Persephone as an enemy as well.

"Well, we weren't expecting a visitor today, were we my darlings?" She puts her hand on one of the massive heads and gives the side of its face a kiss. She didn't even have to bend down to kiss her dog, they were the same height. Cerberus was even taller than the tallest alpha wolf on earth, which made Fire burn slightly with caution, but knew better than to attack. "Are you going to tell me your business here, omega?"

Castiel looked back at the woman who had long dark hair that fell down to her waist. She was a beautiful being, a perfect rendition of a human woman. Castiel was sure that Persephone used to be human, but he didn't really know hers and Hades story. She was pale, with high cheekbones and icy grey eyes that pierced into Castiel's warm blue ones. She was a tall lady, but her long, deep purple dress that rippled when she moved as it rested on the floor, elongated her, making her look even taller than normal.

"I don't belong here." Castiel growls out, still not making any sudden movements as the watchful eyes of Cerberus were upon him.

"Well, I know that." Persephone laughs lightly. "People who belong somewhere don't usually have to break elegant windows to enter."

Castiel was confused for a second and then looked behind him. He turned back to Persephone guiltily and shook his head with a frown.

"No, that's not what I meant-" He started and she waved him off.

"I know exactly what you mean, son of Pan." She says abruptly and Castiel raised his eyebrows in surprise, staring at her warily. "Oh yes, I know who you are. You've caused a lot of irritation for my husband, you know?"

She smiles at him and turns to walk away, beckoning for him and her dog(s?) to follow her. Castiel tried to keep his distance from Cerberus but he was watching Castiel extremely closely, he didn't think he could make a break for it even if he wanted. However, Castiel didn't want to run. He had spent too long running on earth, it was time to finish this. Even if that mean killing Hades himself.

"You know, Pan and I aren't all that different." She says in a light tone, distracting Cas from his dark thoughts. "We both care very deeply for nature."

"Really?" Castiel asks, keeping a watchful eye behind him at the three-headed dog.

"Don't mind Cerberus." She says simply, leading him into a more comfortable room where a fire was burning on the hearth and a few seats were scattered around it. "Sit down."

Castiel wasn't sure if the goddess was talking to him or the dogs but decided to take a chance and go and sit on one of the seats closest to the homely fire. She smiled and sat in the seat opposite him, taking a poker-stick to the fire and roaring it back to life.

"Tea?" she asks, holding out a freshly poured cup that had been sat on a small coffee table by the fire. Castiel slowly nodded his head and gracefully accepted the hot drink before she finally sat in the armchair across from him. "Now as we were saying, you don't belong here."

Castiel nods in reply.

"Hmm, I can't understand why Hades would take you when you so clearly belong to Pan. By all accounts it does not make any sense."

"Right?" Castiel agrees and sighs. "I can't stay in the underworld, it's just not right."

"Well there is not much we can do until my husband returns." Persephone says in a soft voice. "Until then, why don't we just chat about earth. I would very much like to hear about your favourite tree. You seem like an Oak lover, personally my favourite is Ash."
