NOTE: IMPORTANT A/N AT THE END.
When the six men arrived home, later in the evening, the last thing they expected was a dining table set and ready with food and drinks all prepared for them. They thought that San and Wooyoung would either be sleeping or watching cartoons on the couch, however that wasn't the case.
A smiley little boy was placing silverware by each plate when the men walked up to the table. He hadn't noticed them yet, so he was surprised when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Perfect timing!" San exclaimed, carrying some ramen to the table.
When Wooyoung turned around he saw Seonghwa. The eldest gave Wooyoung a smile and leaned down a bit so he was eye level with the boy.
"Did you do all of this?" Seonghwa questioned.
"Well, Sannie helped me.." he turned towards San, who just shook his head.
"I barely helped, it was all him," San motioned towards Wooyoung with a chuckle. Then he motioned for all of the men to take a seat.
How could anyone pass up a free meal? Especially when it was on the dining table, just waiting to be eaten. Everyone was starving, so food was essential upon their return and it was already made. They all felt blessed to have Wooyoung, although that wasn't the only reason they were blessed by his presence—the boy as a whole was a blessing.
Many of them knew that Wooyoung had strong cooking abilities, though they did not expect a full meal from the boy. They were shocked by Wooyoung. He could cook, he could fight, he could run, he could be cute, etc. What else did the boy have up his sleeves? He was one of the smartest kids any of the gang members had ever met and knew what he wanted.
Wooyoung was a driven kid. He realized that the life he was living before wasn't good, he realized that his parents were terrible people, so he ran away. It took a lot of bravery and courage to do something like that, but Wooyoung was a strong boy. His mind was set on escaping and surviving, and he was able to do both—with a little help from the gang of course.
Although Wooyoung was broken, he was so strong.
"Wooyoung, this is delicious!" Hongjoong stated. "You are promoted to our little chef," he chuckled.
Wooyoung blushed a little before asking, "what was I before?"
"Our little baby," Yeosang smirked, air pinching Wooyoung's cheeks since he was on the opposite side of the table.
Wooyoung's blush only increased at Yeosang's words.
"You're still our little baby, now you're just our little baby chef," San wrapped his arm around Wooyoung's shoulders and gave him a huge toothy smile.
"Guys, stop. He's going to be a tomato in a second," Mingi laughed at Wooyoung's increasing red face.
Each man found the boy undeniably adorable. Even when he was beyond flustered and red, he was still the cutest human on the planet. Though, Wooyoung would deny those claims.
"So," Hongjoong started, trying to change the subject to give Wooyoung a breather. He wanted to talk about their outing, but Wooyoung was around and they couldn't talk about the big mission around the kid.
He lightly nudged Seonghwa, sort of telling him that he had no idea what to say. However, Seonghwa was in the same position, so was most of the men. They wanted to talk freely about the mission, but they couldn't.
It wasn't even a big deal as to why they went out. They went to get supplies. But deep down they all knew that Wooyoung would be curious as to why they were out getting supplies. So they couldn't even mention that.
