By far one of my most favourite chapters to write... you guys are going to love it <3

___

With hands interlocked, faces hidden under masks, and stolen hats on top of their heads, the duo entered a grocery store.

Learning from their previous mistakes, they never separated. Hands held tightly together as they weaved in and out of isles. Except for the moment when they found the perfect gullible lady.

"I'm so sorry!" Wooyoung gasped as he helped the lady who he "accidentally" bumped into up. She just gave him a soft smile after noticing that Wooyoung was just a small kid, and dismissed them.

Wooyoung handed San the lady's wallet that he acquired and the duo were out of there quicker than the blink of an eye.

"You are amazing Woo." San praised the boy as soon as they got back into their stolen car and drove away.

"I know Sannie."

San laughed as the smile on his face never faded away. He was proud of his boy. Proud of how far he had come and how he still managed to keep himself together after all of the trauma.

They still had yet to talk about everything, but San didn't want to. At least not yet. If he was going to bring the traumatic events up, he would do it when they were safe, stable and in a much better mindset.

"Where can we go now Sannie?" Wooyoung muttered as he played with his fingernails.

Wooyoung was in his head a lot recently. It had only been a couple of days and he was on the brink of losing it. He reflected on his current situation and was disappointed. He was doing great at one point before he got shot and before he was with his parents once again. And he couldn't help but blame himself for all of that.

Never would he blame the gang for his pain. His pain was caused by his own faults, not anyone else's.

"Well, we can head towards the airport and sneak onto a flight..."

"Don't you think that'll be dangerous?"

"I don't think we have any better ideas..."

"Sannie... I don't want to be separated from you again. It's happened too much. So no, we will think of a better solution."

San nodded. "Yeah, okay."

San felt like the world was draining him. He tried to be the strongest between the two of them, but he felt like Wooyoung was stronger than him.

The man was in his head. Struggling to stay present. He had to be strong for Wooyoung, and be the guidance and support the boy needed. But he felt so low. He felt like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.

"San, what's wrong?" Wooyoung muttered. He could sense something off about San and he didn't like it.

Nothing was said for a while. San was not focused, which Wooyoung did not like. He was driving and they would end up in a car accident if San continued to act like that.

"San pull the car over," Wooyoung demanded. And that finally got San's attention.

"What?"

"I said, pull the car over."

San did as he was told but never once looked at Wooyoung. The boy found it strange since San's eyes always seemed to be on him. All San did was look at him. With so much love and adoration. Wooyoung was San's favourite thing to look at and the boy knew that. However, San seemed to be fighting the urge to look at him and Wooyoung had no idea why.
