"Hongjoong!" Jongho yelled from his room."Holy shit! Hongjoong, come here NOW!"
The gang looked at each other in confusion, as Hongjoong quickly got up. Everyone had been enjoying the quiet, peaceful evening while watching movies and talking amongst each other. Everyone but Jongho.
Jongho had been glued to his computer, trying nonstop to find Wooyoung's mother and/or anything that could aid them in bringing her down.
"I found her!" Jongho turned his computer towards Hongjoong as soon as the leader entered the room. "Hongjoong, I finally found her."
Hongjoong stared at the screen in disbelief, looking at the pined location with photo proof.
"What?" Hongjoong then looked up at Jongho with nervousness. He quickly walked to the door and closed it. "You found her? You found Wooyoung's mother..?" Hongjoong lowered his voice.
"Yeah. She's—"
"I can see," Hongjoong shushed the younger.
"What? I thought we were all in an agreement that she needed to be dealt with soon? What's going on with you?" Jongho scrunched his nose.
Now that he had thought about it, Hongjoong hadn't been actively trying to look for Mrs. Jung, since he went out with San to scout locations.
"Are you scared?"
Hongjoong scoffed. "No, I'm not scared."
"Then what is it?"
"Wooyoung is doing alright. It's been two weeks since he and San fought, and they've been good. They've been great, actually. I really don't want to ruin his mood with this right now..."
Jongho furrowed his eyebrows. "But this is what we've all been wanting..."
Hongjoong let out a frustrated sigh. "Jongho, will things ever go back to how they used to be? Like when we first met Wooyoung. I want him to be that happy again. I want us all to be that happy."
"No, nothing will be the same, Hongjoong. He's older, he knows what he wants, and just like us all, he wants her gone. We need to do this now, or else we won't get the chance to."
Hongjoong frowned. "I know.. I know," he sighed in defeat. "I just don't want to put any of you in danger..."
Hongjoong didn't want to see any of his members get hurt. It would be devasting for him if any of them were to get injured or be on the receiving end of Mrs. Jung's anger. As much as he did want to get rid of her, for both their sake and Wooyoung's, he valued their lives. He didn't want anyone on his side to die.
"You know you can express your doubts to them, right? They'll understand, Joong."
Hongjoong looked at the younger with
hesitation. "I'm not sure if they will.""Why?"
"They all seem determined to end this. And I am, too, but I want to approach this the right way," Hongjoong responded.
"And you will—"
"No, you will." Hongjoong's eyes widened as an idea hit him.
"What? No— Hongjoong, you know I can't—"
"You are more than capable. I'll help you, but you'll lead it. You have all this technology at your fingertips. You have all the resources, and you're smart, Jongho. Every plan I've led has gone to shit, so I'd rather not lead this one."
"But Hongjoong—"
"Jongho, I think everyone would rather have you leading this than me. I fuck everything up," Hongjoong admitted solemnly. "I trust you."
