"You feel okay, right?" San questioned the young boy as he placed a plate of food in front of Wooyoung.
"Yes, I'm okay." Wooyoung gave San a reassuring smile. Though it was on San to decide if he was convinced or not. And San was hard to convince.
San took a seat next to Wooyoung and started to eat his food. "Just try to eat as much as you can, but I also want you to drink all of your water before leaving the table. We cannot have you dropping unconscious again."
Wooyoung let a small smile fill his lips as he looked down at his lap but still began to eat his food. He hated disappointing San, so he tried his best to do everything the man asked of him.
"Woo, I have a serious question for you," Yeosang spoke up, gaining the attention of everyone at the table. Wooyoung looked up and nodded before Yeosang posed his question. "Please don't lie to me, but where's your mindset lately? How are you doing right now?"
Wooyoung visibly tensed and bit his lip. As much as he hated everyone's check-up questions, he appreciated that they were always worrying or concerned about his well-being.
In all honesty, Wooyoung didn't know where his mind was at. He was most definitely doing better, especially after his birthday, but he still felt negative towards himself. Which he also knew wouldn't go away, at least not for a while. Images of his father's dead body, and the acknowledgement of how he was now a murderer, were still haunting him.
He would probably never fully get over the fact that he killed his father, which still bothered him severely. Wooyoung felt more than just guilty. He knew that he shouldn't have killed the man, he should have just hurt him. Though he tried to convince himself that killing the man was alright because the man was no longer there to torture his life. However, that wasn't fully the case either.
Even after his father's death, the man was still torturing him.
Wooyoung let out a sigh as he set his fork down and leaned back in his chair. "I don't know."
"Woo, I said not to lie," Yeosang stated.
"I'm not lying. I don't know how I feel." Wooyoung didn't want to yell, but he was starting to get worked up and upset that he felt the urge to lash out at the gang.
Yeosang was stuck. He wasn't quite sure what to say after that, especially if the boy couldn't describe his feelings.
They all could tell that Wooyoung was still feeling upset or sort of disconnected. Sure, he wasn't having the nightmares anymore, but he still was showing signs of stress, and an obvious impact from the trauma.
"Woo, what's going on?" Hongjoong tried.
Wooyoung's eyes slowly filled with tears, feeling so overwhelmed with his negative thoughts and constant images of his father's body. Though, as soon as his eyes were to fill with tears, he was quick to wipe them away.
"I keep seeing him. I'm not having the nightmares b-but.. the blood, all over me all over him, the floor... h-his body.. his dead body!" Wooyoung covered his face with his hands, refusing to let any more tears leave his eyes. "And-and it's just a reminder of how I'm a murderer! I'm a k-killer! I-I... I.." Sobs rang out, disrupting the silence of the bunker, making each man's heart break into pieces once again.
San instantly pulled the boy into a hug, trying to muffle the boy's loud cries.
"Shh, it's alright," San mumbled into Wooyoung's hair, rubbing the boy's back to attempt to calm him down.
"Woo, can I tell you a story?" Seonghwa appeared beside the boy's chair, placing a hand on Wooyoung's own. When Wooyoung lifted his head slightly, wiping his tears, Seonghwa continued.
