"Sannie, Sannie, Sannie!" Wooyoung continuously repeated as he ran into the living room, holding his stuffed dog in one hand.
However, he stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed Seonghwa and Yunho alone in the living room, with no trace of San.
He stared at the men for a moment, contemplating what to do or say. "Where's San?" He blurted out, catching the men—who were obviously in the middle of something—off guard.
"Woo!" Seonghwa laughed nervously as he nudged Yunho in the ribs, causing the younger man to groan.
"Hey, Woo." Yunho waved and motioned for the boy to sit with them, but Wooyoung stayed in his place.
He eyed the men with a raised eyebrow. They were acting suspiciously and he didn't like it one bit. It was almost like they were hiding something from him, but why would they do that? He was a part of their gang, so really, there was no need to hide things from him anymore.
Now that he thought about it, everyone had been acting strangely for the past couple of days. He had never seen the whole gang all together in one room while he was there, someone was always out doing something. Plus they were asking him so many questions. It made no sense to him.
Wooyoung knew something was up because they were never like that. And now that he was finally getting somewhat better (meaning he wasn't having nightmares anymore), he wanted to be around everyone more often. However, that was a challenge when someone was always out doing something.
"What's going on?" He continued to eye the two men sitting on the couch. They looked nervous, Wooyoung could tell that much.
Yunho looked at Seonghwa, not fully knowing what to say. "We are working on a new mission," Seonghwa said the first thing that came to mind. In all honesty, they were discussing the layout of the decorations that San and Hongjoong were out getting.
"Why didn't you tell me about it?" Wooyoung questioned. San tried to make it a point that they would always be truthful with him, but they failed to inform him about such an important thing as a new mission.
"It's not a mission we wanted to involve you in... it's only a couple of us that are working on it," Seonghwa explained.
"What is it about?" Wooyoung took a seat on the other side of their sectional couch, waiting for an answer.
Seonghwa didn't think that far into his lie. He knew that he should have been prepared for the boy to ask questions, but he wasn't.
"It's uh... it's... it's for-"
"It's a drug deal," Yunho stated. He received an instant kick and pinch from Seonghwa, but it wasn't his fault. He was simply just trying to buy them time. They just needed to survive today without Wooyoung finding out, because the next day was finally Wooyoung's birthday.
"Drug deal?" Wooyoung's small innocent voice questioned, making both Yunho and Seonghwa internally scream at themselves.
Technically a drug deal wasn't their main way of getting money—that was killing—but drug deals weren't necessarily out of the question. They didn't do them often, considering Hongjoong wasn't big on them. But they weren't foreign to the gang.
"Yeah... but don't worry, it's just to get money, no one gets hurt." Seonghwa persuaded the boy to relax a little in his seat.
"Is that where Sannie is?"
"Yes, Hongjoong is with him too, so don't worry," Yunho affirmed.
Wooyoung only nodded before turning around and heading back to San's room, without another word.
