relationships are great until you don't see eye to eye with one another.
stubbornness, insecurity, and arguments don't mix well when you're trying to make a relationship work.

i was shocked when i walked i to daniels kitchen and he had set up a dinner for us all by himself. he pulled my chair out for me as we sat down to eat and i admired how much thought he'd put into all of this. "daniel this is amazing, you didn't have to do all of this" i said "yes i did, i want you to know how much i appreciate you. the food might not taste the best, since i can't cook at all, but i tried. but you deserve this, and i hope you like it" he replied nervously
"daniel i love it, and it tastes amazing... you did great" i reassured him as we started eating dinner. i was very impressed with how much time he put into this dinner, it really showed how much he cared and how important i am to him. after we ate he brought out a cake, a homemade cake "you did not make a cake" i said, shocked.
"wait do you not like cake?" he asked as he sat the container on the table in front of me. "i thought you did, maybe you don't though... i could've made you pie instead. or maybe donuts" he rambled in nervously. "daniel relax, i love cake i just can't believe you made one yourself" i said with a laugh
he laughed too "oh, yeah i did... and i decorated it too" he said with a smile as he lifted the top of the container off, revealing his cake. it was a chocolate cake with pink icing, i could tell because he hadn't cover all of the bottom with icing. on the top of the cake in squiggly red icing the cake read "be my girlfriend... again?" with what looked like a heart below it.
the cake decorating skills were terrible, but the gesture was amazing. i smiled up at daniel to see him nervously eaiting for me to say something. "daniel, of course i want to be your girlfriend... again" i said, and he smiled. he leaned down and planted a sweet kiss on my lips and when he pulled away he said "sorry the cake looks bad, but i was really nervous when i wrote it" he said with a laugh
"you're so cute... but you suck at decorating cakes" i said, and he acted hurt. he laughed and moved to cut the cake, giving us both a piece. as i took a bite i looked at him "you may be bad at decorating, but you make a good cake" i said, he laughed "why thank you... it's hard to mess up when the box tells you exactly what to do" he said, causing us both to laugh loudly.
after dinner we walked over to his couch to watch netflix, everything felt back to the way it was months ago, and that made me happy. we had just started watching outer banks when i noticed daniel looking down at me as we laid cuddle up on the couch. "what?" i asked him "i just can't believe i ever thought my life would be good without you in it" he said, and my heart melted
"well i'm glad things ended up working out, i'm glad we found our way back to eachother" i said, he smiled. he pulled me even closer and rested his chin on my head as he ran his fingers through my hair. with my head laying on his chest i could hear his heartbeat and smell his cologne, that i missed so much. "my world really was grey without you, and now the world is colorful again" he said and i lifted my head to look at him. "i'll never let you go again, and i'll love you, forever" he added "i'll love you, always" i replied and kissed him. ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴅ ☾ ___________________________________
