Polly picked up the towel from the yoga mat, gently brushing it over her face before throwing it over her aching shoulders as she made her way into the kitchen.
The smell of bacon and eggs greeted her upon entry and she smiled to herself at the sight of her husband, already awake, humming to himself while he cooked.
She lingered by the door, watching him with fondness as she rested her hand on the hollow of her stomach, brushing her hand over it gently before clutching at the dampened clothes sticking to her skin.
Taking a quick breath to collect herself she continued towards him. "Good morning sleepy head~" she chirped, stopping behind the male and wrapping her arms around his waist, planting a kiss onto the tattoo on his upper back.
Haru flinched at the sudden touch but quickly composed himself before Pollie could notice. Or so he hoped. "Heya babe~" he replied, glancing back at her, noticing her workout clothes. "Working out already?"
"Mhmm~" Pollie hummed in response, settling next to him and watching him cook as she pressed a kiss onto his upper arm, gently brushing her hand over a few of the scars lining his skin. "Been up for two hours, took care of Suki, worked out, logged in to work..." she glanced up at him, a smile tugging at her lips. "...Worked out again" she giggled.
Haru shot her a glance, a wordless scold, accompanied by a kind smile which was his usual go-to soft scold. But all Pollie noticed was the ever-darkening circles outlining his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, I know- but I need to burn the fat down." she walked over to the kitchen island and pushed herself upon it.
"You'll burn a lot more if you just eat healthy" Haru replied, serving the eggs onto a plate then turning around to meet her, flashing her a smile before setting the plate down next to her.
Polly watched as he finished preparing the meal, collecting a few ingredients from the fridge before returning to her. "Come here you big teddy bearrr~" she cooed, holding her arms out for him.
Haru hesitated for a moment, curious as to why the sudden need for attention, but ultimately gave in, walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her waist, taking her into a soft embrace.
"You look tired, babe..." she whispered, brushing her hand through his short black hair, gently massaging his head to which he responded with a soft hum. "How late did you arrive?"
"Hmmm... like... 4:30? 5?" he pulled back just far enough to plant a kiss onto her forehead. "Fell asleep instantly in your arms" he smiled. And she responded with one of her own, pulling him down enough for their lips to meet in a brief but meaningful kiss.

For today's prompt I had to write something from the pov of a character that wasn't the protagonist, so I went with a close friend! <3
