The silence of the late afternoon was interrupted by the loud revving of an engine, accompanied by a bright light.
The few youngsters sitting by the beach looked up, watching in panic as what could only be classified as a car descended from the sky, hovering just over the street.
The door opened with a soft sizzle and a young man, with magenta glasses and a dorky grin, dressed in bright white with violet highlights hopped off, glancing around before his eyes found the youngsters.
"Oi, folks!" he cheered, waving once. "Do ya' know of any hotels around the area?" he rested a hand on his hip, shifting his weight onto one leg as he waited for a reply.
None of the youngsters dared speak until he asked again, this time receiving a reply from one of the boys. "Umm... there's a motel a few blocks down" he pointed in the direction and Teag nodded.
"Oi- thanks!" he cheered, waving goodbye to the youngsters before climbing back into the car, ascending it into the sky as he drove over to where the youngster had told him.
A small motel came to view and Teag smiled to himself, slowly lowering the car until it reached the parking space. He took out the keys from the ignition and opened the door, hopping out. A few heads turned to look at him but he ignored it, continuing on his way to the reception.
The door swung open with a small jingle of the bell as Teag entered, attracting the attention of the receptionist who immediately looked up. "Uh- hello?"
"Oi mate!" Teag cheered, leaning against the desk with a smile. "Room for one, please!"
The woman stared for a moment then nodded, quickly typing it down on the old-looking computer. "That'll be-"
Before she could finish her sentence too much money landed with a small thud on the table. She looked from the money to Teag, confusion clouding her face but he just smiled, offering no explanation.
"Um- that's- that's too much" She pointed out, hesitantly handing him the key. "Room- 5"
"Thanks!" he cheered, snatching the key from her then turning around with a spin, only to turn back to her. "Oi! You know where I can get some coffee?"
The woman stared, for far longer than any sane person would before speaking up. "Dine-diner to the right"
Teag nodded, smiling brightly then heading out. He looked around, spotting the diner where the woman had said and quickly marching over, stuffing the key into one of the many pockets of his outfit.
The door swung open with another ring of a bell and all heads turned to look at him as he entered and walked over to the counter, sitting down on one of the barstools.
He tapped his fingers impatiently against the surface until one of the waiters approached. "Hey... Can I get you something?" she asked.
Teag made eye contact, a bright grin forming on his face.
"COFFEEE!"

I kinda rushed this, so it's a bit fast-paced and mehh- but today I had to write a story based on a prompt randomly generated.
Prompt: This outgoing, fine-featured young adult with a flying car and an addiction to caffeine comes from a lost city and is looking for a place to stay.
