The next day, Laura barely had any strength to leave her dorm. It only made it worse when all of her roommates decided to spend the day somewhere else, leaving the dorm all to herself. She kept to herself, reading a book on Astrology, until Rachel Nox entered, an apologetic look on her face.

"There's someone asking for you," she told Laura. "One of the Weasleys. Couldn't tell you which one." Laura chuckled to herself, and shook her head.

"Thanks Rachel, I'll be right out."

Expecting the visitor to be George, Laura was surprised when she set eyes on Fred Weasley, waiting for her right outside the Slytherin dormitory.

"Fred," she spoke when she got to him.

"Little Potter," Fred answered in the same tone of voice.

"What do you want?" To be honest, Laura's patience had completely run out.

"To apologise."

And although these words took Laura by surprise, she did not show it.

"I've been an arse. I mean I should have asked you- All this time I thought... and now you can't... I mean-"

"Okay stop."

"I'm sorry-"

"Fred, stop. Please," she repeated. "You're right, you have been an arse. I have tried to reach out to you and George so many times, and every single one of those times you have shut me down and said some stupid, terrible thing."

"I'm sorry, I really am." Laura knew he was being genuine. "Diggory, he-"

"This is not abut Cedric, Fred!" She snapped at him. "This is about you! And the way you refuse to talk to me, instead of making assumptions."

Yes, maybe yelling at him when he finally came to apologize was harsh, but it definetly felt right. Fred nodded along.

"I know. I'm sorry, I really am," Fred looked down to the ground. He looked sincere. "It was just a lot. Malfoy picking on you for hanging with me, and then- Anyways, it doesn't matter. I know it was wrong to push you away. You've got every right to be mad at me for that."

"And for asking Angelina Johnson out when your brother has a thing for her," Laura added, crossing her arms over her chest. Fred's face paled.

"Is that why he's mad at me?" Laura raised her eyebrows and didn't say anything, but it was enough of an answer for Fred. "Oh, fuck," he mumbled. "I didn't know, I swear. Angelina and I, were going as friends-"

"It's not me you should be trying to convince," Laura told him. "Go talk to him. Get out of here before the dumbasses from my house see you here."
