Harry was in detention with the professor of Defence against the Dark Arts when he heard a voice.
"Blood. Come with me, come. I smell blood, I smell death," the voice said as a whisper.
"What?" Asked Harry.
"What what?" Asked his professor.
"There was a voice. Can't you hear it?"
After his detention, Harry found himself on a corridor. And once more, he heard the voice.
"I smell blood. Come to me. Death!"
Harry jumped as he saw Laura coming to his direction.
"Please tell me you heard that?" Laurie pleaded. "I was at the Commun Hall and I swore I heard a voice. But Ginny didn't hear it."
"I heard it."
"Children. Two of you. Come." They both shivered at that comment. The voice was actually talking to them.
"It's coming from there," said Harry, following the sounds. Harry and Laurie jumped when they found a line of spider running outside through the window.
"What is happening?" Asked Laurie.
Then they realised that there was water on the ground. The ground was flooded.
"Harry.." Laurie breathed as she pointed her finger towards the wall.
It was written, in blood; The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware...
It was only a few moments later that they noticed Mrs Norris, Filch's cat, hanging upside down.
"Is she dead?" Asked Harry.
Suddenly, loads of students and professors appeared around them. Snape, McGonagall and Dumbledore were staring at Harry and Laurie, while the other students were watching Filch weep for his cat.
"She is not dead, Filch. Only petrified," said Dumbledore. "Everyone, back to your Commun Rooms. And stay there."
The kids started walking away, when Dumbledore added; "except you two."
Laurie and Harry turned around, back to face the teachers. When all the other students were gone, Harry started.
"It wasn't us, professor, I swear!" Said Harry to Dumbledore.
"They were here! The only ones!" Yelled Filch.
"It really wasn't us, professor." Replied Laura. Then she turned to Filch. "Why would we petrify your cat?"
"I don't know, children are evil. Specially you two," said Filch.
"Albus," said Snape, with a calm voice. "I do think we should give them a chance to explain themselves. They don't seem to be lying. Though... I don't remember seeing Mr. Potter at diner tonight," he explained.
"That was because of me," said Professor Lockhart, joining them. Laurie sighed in relief. "Harry was in detention with me during the whole diner."
"That's why I came to look for him," said Laura, improvising "Then he told me he wasn't hungry, so we were heading back to the Great Hall to meet our friends." Harry looked at her in surprise. She was a good liar.
