Laura got back inside in time for the curfews. Sirius Black had explained everything to her, and he had asked her not to tell Harry, or anyone, about any of it. He wanted to meet Harry and Moony, and tell them himself. Luckily for the both of them, Laurie was a great secret keeper.
She sat on the Slytherin table next to Tracy Davis and Sally Smith, two girl she didn't have much trouble with. Draco Malfoy decided to sit not too far from her, like every single meal.
She watched as Hermione, Ron and Harry sat in silence. At first she didn't really see why, but then she noticed Percy Weasley not too far away from them, and realised that they didn't want the headboy to find out Harry had escaped to go to homemade without permission.
Laura bid her friends goodnight and went to bed early. She stayed awake for a long time. She couldn't manage to sleep. Her head kept spinning round and around the whole Sirius Black thing.

Laura awoke the next morning with the impression she hadn't gotten one single hour of sleep. She threw on her shirt, skirt and tie, not even bothering to tighten it around her neck.
She walked to the common room to see Draco Malfoy sitting in one of the couches with his two stupid followers. Malfoy still had his arm in a cast, but it was pretty obvious he didn't need it.
Laurie tried to walk past them, tried not to be seen, but unfourtunetly, Draco's eyes caught her sight.
"Potter!" He called her out as she was about to walk out the door. Instead of stopping and giving them the attention they wanted, Laura simply walked out and closed the door shut behind her, praying the three idiots weren't following her.
Obviously, they were.
"Laura, do you want to sign my cast?" Draco asked as soon as he had caught up with her. Laura stopped, turning to him with a frown.
"You want me to sign your cast? You don't even need it, your arm is obviously not broken," she told him, a hand on her hip.
"Butr it hurts, look'" he told her, proceeding to touch the cast with his other hand. "Ow." Laura squinted her eyes in disbelief.
"I'm not even going to respond to that," she said. She started once again to walk towards the Great Hall, wanting as soon as possible to stay away from her fellow slytherins and meet her brother and his friends.
"Hey, come on. You didn't tell me what was wrong with you that time you were crying in the great Hall," Draco reminded her. Laura pressed her lips together into a straight line as she was reminded of that incident. "You never talk to me. Can you at least pretend to care?" he asked, offering her a muggle Sharpie.
"Where did you get this from?" Laura asked him, slightly amused by the boy who hated muggles and muggle-borns having a Sharpie.
"Got it from a first year," was all he said. And by that, Laura guessed he had taken it from a firts year muggle-born. "Please?" he said, extending the marker to her. Laura shook her head with a defeated sigh, and grabbed the marker. She took Draco's arm in her hands and wrote down a message carefully. When she was done, she shoved the marker into his other hand.
"Can you leave me be, now?" she asked, not even waiting for an answer as she turned around and walked away towards the Great Hall.
Alone in the corridor, Draco Malfoy read the message: 'you're an idiot', and smiled to himself.
