"I missed you," finally said Lupin. Laurie jumped into his arms.

"Missed you too, moony." She said, her voice muffled by his shoulder. When they let go, she opened her mouth to ask a question but Remus cut her off.

"You are asking yourself why I don't want you to see your boggart," he finally said. Laurie stared at him, then nodded slowly. "I thought it was going to be Voldemort." Laurie was taken aback at this answer. "And I didn't want to scare the children." Laurie nodded once more.

"I didn't even think of him. Though..." She trailed off.

"What is it?" Asked Remus, now both curious and worried.

"I've been having some dreams... About these hooded men. They... wear silver masks and... I don't know. I dream of them killing people around. Good people, innocent people," Laurie explained.

"I'm sure it's nothing." Quickly answered Remus. Laurie knew he was hiding something. Lupin was a very good liar, but Laurie knew him. Either way, she decided not to go any further.

"Anyway," she continued, changing the subject which Lupin obviously didn't want to talk about. "Then I remembered that night in the train..." The Professor nodded.

"You know," started Lupin. "You brother said the same thing. He thought of You-Know-Who, of course. Then he remembered the night in the train. You two are more alike than you imagine."

"Really? I don't see much resemblance," Laurie said, surprised.

"Well I'm not talking physical. You too look nothing alike," Lupin said. Laurie agreed. "Apart from the eyes," he said. Laura could hear the sadness in her mentor's voice. "You two have your mother's beautiful green eyes." She looked down. They both did. "And you have your father's smug smile."

They both stayed silent for a minute, imagining what would life be like if Lily and James Potter were still alive.

•Harry would have more friends, and be a normal stubborn boy
•Laurie and Harry would have grown up together at a loving house, not with mean uncles or adoptive parents

Lots of things would be different.

"You know," said Lupin, taking Laurie away of her thoughts. "There is something I've been wanting to tell you for so long, but it wouldn't really mean anything. Until now." Laurie's head pops up.

"What?" Asked the girl.

"You look exactly like your mother." As Lupin felt his heart breaking of the memories, Laurie's heart warmed up, finally having an idea of what her mother looked like; her. "And there's this," he hands her a picture.

The picture, the whole way to the left, had Lupin in it, yet so young. His scars on his face still look fresh. Besides him, stands a man. A dark haired man, with rectangular glasses and dark eyes, smiling a goofy smile, a smiled Laurie knew way too well. Besides him, wrapped in his arms, was a woman. A ginger woman, with a beautiful yellow dress and shining green eyes, which made up all her charm. Making the peace sign behind her head, mocking her with a smirk, was Sirius Black. He had long black hair and was wearing a black leather jacket. Besides that man, was probably Peter Pettigrew, but the picture was ripped in two, showing only an arm besides Black.

Laurie smiled, as she saw her parents for the first time. "I--I couldn't have given you that before," Lupin explained, his voice shaky. "You are a smart girl, you would have figured out that you were Harry's sister." Laurie nodded, wiping a single tear away from her cheek.

"Thank you." She softly said.

"You should go," Lupin finally said, checking the time. "It's lunch time. By this afternoon after classes, come by. I have some things to teach you."

Laurie nodded, then walked away.

(Later that day)

"Professor?" Asked Laurie as she knocked on the DADA's class door, just coming out of Transfiguration with McGonagall. No one answered. "Moony?" She asked again. Lupin opened the door and stuck his head outside. Laurie giggled.

"Come in, Laurie. Come right in."

"Why did you want me to come here?" She asked.

"It's about the dementors. They're roaming the school and they seam to have a thing for you and Harry. And you need to learn to protect yourself from them." Lupin explained. Laurie frowned. "I'll help you learn the patronous spell, love."

"Oh." Laurie did, in shock. She'd heard of the Patronus spell, and it was a very powerful spell. Even her brother hadn't seen it at school, yet.

"I know, it seams like a lot. But hen you get it the first time, it's easy. First, you need to think of the happiest memory. Don't tell, just think about it," Lupin explained. Laurie remembered the summer she spent at Remus' house when she turned seven. That sas probably the happiest moment of her life. "I'll let out the boggart once more, and you have to remember, that's all it is, a boggart. Remember the words 'Expecto Patronum'.

"Expecto Patronum," repeated Laurie to herself.

"Yes. Ready?" Lupin asked.

"No?"

"That's ready enough. One, two three!"

The boggart was out of the once closed closet and it quickly turned into a Dementor. Laurie freaked. She took some steps back, and pointed her wand towards the nightmare.

Nothing happened.

Laurie then decided to remember more about that summer at Lupin's house. It was the first time she'd ever done magic. They were in a park, and this little boy was pushing her, and pulling her hair. All she remembers is that the boy suddenly had donkey years, and Lupin had had to Obliviate the little boy and his mother. Taking a deep breath, she tried again.

"Expecto Patronum!" She yelled, as a bright light shined from her wand, pushing the boggart back into the closet.

"Okay. That was impressive. Are you sure you haven't had any training about this at all?" Lupin asked, in awe.

Later that afternoon was Quiddich tryouts. And of course, Laura had to try and get in the team. Guess what? She got in! As a reserve, bus still. There were two reserves. She was in for Seeker, Chaser and Keeper, and Lina Yang was taken as reserve Beater.

"I'm sure you would have gotten first chair if Malfoy hadn't paid to get in the team," Hermione told her.

"That's right," Ron agreed. "You two Potters have talent. Malfoy only has money. I'm completely sure you two can outplay the whole of the Slytherin team alone." The four of them chuckled.

"Honestly, I'm fine being substitute," Laurie told them. "Then I'll be able to cheer for Harry instead of playing against him."
