The next day, Hermione explained Harry and Laurie what happened.

"What do you mean we can talk to snakes?" Said Laurie.

"It's Parseltongue." Said Hermione. "Both of you. That's why you could hear voices and we couldn't." She explained.

"Why didn't you tell us Harry?" Asked Ron.

"I-- I only did it once. I didn't know it was me, I thought the snake was talking and everyone was hearing it."

"Well, it's not a commun gift," said Hermione. "And Salazar Slytherin could talk to snakes. They will think you two are the heirs."

Later that day, Laura found herself wondering alone on the corridors when she heard a scream. Rory, she thought. That was her brother screaming. She ran towards the scream, only to find Sir Nicholas and her brother, both petrified.

She ran to her brother. Even if she didn't like him so much, it was still her kinda-brother.

"Rory?" She asked. Professor McGonagall and Filch appeared in front of him.

"It wasn't me!" She said. "I just got here!"

"It isn't up to me, anymore," McGonagall said.

Laura found herself walking towards the headmaster's office. Being a child of two muggles, she knew what it was to go to the principal's office, since she got into a lot of trouble as a child at school.

"Professor Dumbledore is waiting for you," said McGonagall. Laura got up and the door opened to her.

"Come in, Miss. Angelo."

Laura got inside the room, only to find Professor Dumbledore and Harry Potter. Hardy looked amazed at a small baby bird and Dumbledore walked towards her.

"Im sorry about your... brother," he said. "Whatever it is that is attaching students, it is going after muggleborn children. Like Collin and your brother."

"Wait," Laura said. "You don't believe I opened the Chamber?"

"No. You are not the heir, Laura. And neither is Harry here. You two were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. It looks like you look for trouble."

"I don't have to look for trouble, trouble usually comes to find me," she said.

"Im aware, Miss. Angelo." Said Dumbledore. "I used to check on you two" he admitted. "Harry got in trouble with his Aunt and Uncle. And you at school. The Muggle school."

Harry and Laurie looked down, ashamed.

"But you don't have to worry. None of you is a target of that monster's."

"How do you know," Laura asked. "I don't even know who my parents were."

"Your parents were very brave," Dumbledore said. "They fought Voldemort until the end, as did Harry's parents."

"You knew them?" Asked Laura, with hope in her eyes. "Who were they?" Dumbledore smiled.

"Truth is always given to us in our time, in our turn."

"What il I supposed to do with that?" She asked, annoyed. Harry was trying not to laugh at the girl's attitude.

"You decide, young girl. You decide."

Harry and Laurie got out of the office.

(A.N.: guys yall know what happened after that. They went to the forest, followed the spiders, not the butterflies. Then they found themselves down on the chamber of secrets, where Ron got locked outside with Lockhart, and Harry and Laurie went inside. Harry said the weird stuff in snake language and the door opened.)

"Ginny!" Harry screamed as he noticed the small ginger girl, laying on the cold ground. They both ran towards the girl.

"I see you brought your friend, Potter." Said an older boy, behind them.

"Tom Riddle?" Asked Harry. "You need to help us. She needs help."

"Indeed she does." Tom took Harry's wand from the ground and pointed it at them both.

"The two last Potters. I should have killed you all," Riddle said.

"What?" Asked Harry.

"What?" Repeated Laurie.

"Oh you don't know..." said Riddle. "Yes. You two are brother and sister. Your mommy had just given birth to you," he pointed at Laura. "When Voldemort killed her. And he enjoyed it."

Harry felt his anger build up in him. "Don't you dare talk about my mother that way! What do you even have to do with Voldemort?!" He yelled at the man.

"Voldemort is my past... my present... and my future." He said. Then he proceeded to write his name on the air.

'TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE'

Then he scrambled the letters, until it formed:

'I AM LORD VOLDEMORT'

Harry took a step back. "It's you."

"Indeed," Riddle smirked. "Let's compare the powers of the boy who lived to those of the Dark Lord."

He proceeded to say something in Snake Language and it opened up a rock door, where a giant basilisk came from. The basilisk went after Harry, who could protect himself, since he didn't have his wand.

Laurie stayed with Ginny until Tom returned his attention to her.

"You aren't going to save her," said Riddle. "She is going to die, there is nothing you can do to stop it."

Laurie got up. "Expelliarmus!" She screamed. Harry's wand flew over from Tom's hand to her's.

"You silly girl, step aside! This fight is between me and Harry Potter. I need to kill him."

"Then you will kill me first!" She yelled, as she charged towards the young, unarmed Dark Lord.

Harry ran back to the Chamber, the Basilisk safer him. Somehow, he got a sword, Laurie didn't see how, but he was struck down by the Basilisk. Seeing his leg was broken, and he couldn't walk anymore, Harry threw the sword at Laurie, who grabbed it and yelled to get the attention of the snake.

"In here!" She yelled, so that the Basilisk would leave him alone. While Laurie got up a big statue of Slytherin's head, Harry was checking on Ginny, who was colder and paler than before.

When she reached the top, te Basilisk was to bite her, but she killed it by striking the sword inside its mouth. Unfortunately, a Basilisk fang got stuck on her arm. She had to pull it off.

Getting down the statue, she could feel weaker and weaker. Like te life was being taken from her body little by little. Finally, her legs gave up beside Harry and Ginny. She fell to the floor.

"Funny... how Basilisk venom spreads fast. You have... a minute maybe?" Harry's heart seamed to stop. He didn't care if Laura was his sister or not, he wasn't gonna let her die. He took the fang from her hands and stabbed the diary.

Tom Riddle was torn appart. Each time he would stab it, another hole of light would appear on Riddle's body. Laurie felt her body burning as Tom exploded into light.

At the same time, Ginny woke up. "What happened?! I don't-- Laurie you are hurt." She said. Laura hid her wound with her hand.

"It's okay. Ginny, you gotta get him out of here," Laurie said.

"Im not leaving you," Harry replied.

"You heard what he said, Harry. Just go." Ginny was about to get up when they heard a bird's cry.

"A Phoenix," exclaimed Harry. The bird got down besides Laurie, and it started to cry. As soon as it's tears reached Laurie's arm, her wounds started to heal. "A Phoenix's tears have healing properties," he said, smiling.

They got out of the Chamber, each girl by one side of Harry, helping him walk. When they arrived at Ron's side of the fallen rocks, Ron took Laurie's place besides Harry, which was quite lucky, because some moments after that, she passed out.
