  happy reading!

The next few days were nothing less than exciting. Laura spent most of her time with Ginny, who would tell Fred off every time he tried to talk to them.

It didn't happen a lot. The only free period Laura had with Fred, it was also shared by Ginny. However, on Thursday mornings, George had a free period while his twin had Herbology. It had been about two weeks after their fight when George approached Laura in the Great Hall.

"How have you been, Ginge?" George asked as he sat down across form her in the Slytherin table. It was a free period, so no one had assigned seats anywhere, which mean there wouldn't be any Slytherins complaining about George sitting with her. Specially since there were people from Drumstrang and Beauxbâtons pretty much everywhere.

"Crappy," she told him  putting her book down to finally take a look at him. "And Ginge?"

"You're ginger, are you not?" George smirked at her. Laura snorted.

"As are you?"

"That's beside the point," George waved her off. "I'm here to tell you that I miss you. And Fred does too. A lot. You'd know that if Ginny let us step foot within a kilometer of you." George lowered his head dramatically, making Laurie laugh.

"Well, I miss you guys too," Laura smiled at him with a sigh. "Life has been boring without you two." George laughed.

"Are you going to the ball?" George asked bluntly, completely changing the subject. Laura was taken aback.

"No, I'm not old enough," she frowned at him. It was common knowledge that third years and bellow were not invited.

"Well, you can come if you're invited, right? If an older student invites you?" Laura raised an eyebrow in thought.

"I guess so, yeah? But still, no one's gonna invite me. And, besides, I don't have a dress, so I wouldn't come anyway," she shook the thought away. There was no way she was going to the Yule ball.

"Maybe you should get one," George shrugged  suspiciously as the bell that indicated the end of the first period rang.

Dozens of students soon flooded the Great Hall, and George and Laura soon spotted a miserable-looking ginger. Confusion went through his face as soon as he saw his twin and Laurie together, and then came shock, and then came joy.

Before Laura could acknowledge his arrival, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see Cedric Diggory standing behind her, good looking as ever in his Hufflepuff robes.

"Hey, Laura, can I talk to you?" he gave her his award winning smile and she couldn't help but nod.

"I'll be right back," she told George just as Fred reached their spot on the table. She quickly stood up and followed Cedric to the corridor right outside the Great Hall. She could still see the twins sitting at the Slytherin table, George looking dreamily somewhere towards the Gryffindor table, and Fred looking absolutely furious. She decided to ignore the two for now as she concentrated on her conversation with Cedric. "What did you need?" She asked him with a kind smile.

"A favour," he admitted. "I want to ask someone to the Yule ball." Laura's eyebrows shot up in surprise. Was Cedric Diggory nervous about asking someone to the ball? She would have thought he'd be all confident about this, but it appeared he wasn't.

"You want me to help?" she asked in shock, a hand pointing to herself. Cedric laughed and nodded.

"She's in your Potions class. It's Cho Chang, she's a Ravenclaw-"

"Yeah, I know who she is!" Laura exclaimed excitedly.

"Shhhh, I don't need the whole school knowing about this," he shushed her with a chuckle. "So, will you help me?" Laura nodded.

"Absolutely," she told him.
