Chapter 14

"Ok, I trust you"

Dipper's pov:

The others and I quickly got our things together. Mabel and Gideon had come back with our supplies and our new bags Mabel had made for the six of us. They each had our symbols from the zodiac, except Logan who had a laptop on his. We stood in a circle staring up at the big bubble in front of us. I cleared my throat to get everyone's attention. "Alright everyone, this is it, Time to save our grunkles." They all nodded in agreement and I took out Grunkle Ford's key, Mabel took out Grunkle Stan's key and we all got into place. Wendy, Pacifica, and I on one side, Gideon, Logan and Mabel on the other. Soos, Candy, Grenda, and Willow stood off to the side and I spoke. "If we aren't back after 24 hours, do whatever it takes to destroy the bubble. Bill can't get his hands on whatever is inside." Soos nodded sadly and took out a watch, Logan and I did too and together we set the timers to 24 hours. I sighed and looked at the key in my hand "alright let's do this. Mabel and I put the keys in and turned the lock. The chains faded away as well as the keys in a puff of blood red smoke,and we all headed inside.

As we passed into the bubble we were temporarily blinded by some kind of bright white light just like with the bubble Mabel was in. Once I could see again, I realized we seemed to be in some sort of forest. The tall trees towered over the three of us. I could barely see the blue sky above. The shade of the trees made it almost as dark as night. I took out my flashlight and turned it on, turning to the girls. "you two alright?" Pacifica nodded and smiled "i'm fine" I turned to Wendy "how about you?" she nodded and swept her red hair out of her eyes. "I'm ok" she looked around "Where are we?" I too looked around "My guess is that its Ford's dream world." I shined my flashlight around looking at the trees. As Pacifica spoke again "What kind of place do you guys think this is?" I swallowed hard nervously "I'm not sure but, I don't wanna stick around long enough to find out." I found a pathway that seemed to go deeper into the forest "that way, lets go find Ford" They nodded and together we waked down the dirt path. It felt like we were in some kind of horror movie, the wind blew the leaves and bushes around us.

It felt like forever since we started walking down the path when we finally took a break. Wendy chopped down a mostly dead tree with her axe and the three of us sat down on the trunk after it fell to the ground. Pacifica dug into her bag and pulled out water and snack for the three of us while i looked at my watch timer. Five hours had already passed, no wonder it felt like we were walking for so long. I sighed as Pacifica handed me my food and water. "We've been in here for five hours already and there hasn't been a single sign of Ford. Where could he possibly be?" Pacifica put her hand on my shoulder "We'll find him dipper, I promise" Wendy nodded and swallowed the food in her mouth "she's right dipper, we'll find him and get him out of here, your sister and the others will find Stan and get him out too." I nodded and quickly ate, when we were done I was about to stand up when Wendy yelled out "DIPPER DUCK!!" I dropped down just as she threw her axe and it embedded itself into the head of a strange alien looking creature. It fell to the ground no longer moving.

The three of us approached the dead creature cautiously. Wendy took her axe out of it's head and green goo spilled out, Pacifica made a disgusted face "that is the most disgusting thing iv'e ever seen, and I once saw my father get all the holes in his face rearranged." I shivered at the thought of seeing something like that. It sounded gross. Wendy wiped the goo off her axe and sighed "If this place is anything like what I think it is, there are probably more creatures like this out there just waiting to attack us, we should find somewhere to make a camp or something, somewhere we can easily defend." I nodded "yeah we should get go-" I was cut off by a loud shriek, we turned around to see three of those alien looking monsters. Wendy and Pacifica got into fighting positions and I dug into my bag, pulling out my magic flash light. I stared down the beasts "We should split up, Wendy take the one on the left, Pacifica right, and I'll get the one in the middle" they both nodded and said "got it" at the same time and rushed at the monsters. I followed suit, grabbing a stick from the ground in on hand and making it bigger to defend myself with and charged at the middle beast.

It didn't take long to reach the monster. This one was bigger than the one from before and the other two the girls were fighting. It almost looked like lighter, bigger version of the shape shifter from my childhood. The one we trapped in the freezing tube, but when it was a giant pill bug. this one was light brown with white eyes. it was only when I stared into it's eyes that I realized something. "Pacifca! Wendy! their blind!!" I rolled to the side just in time to dodge the monster slamming it's body onto the ground I was just standing on. It roared again and listened around for me, I carefully snuck around to it's back and stabbed my stick into its back.It flailed around trying to eat me, I readied my magic flash light and set it to shrink, but before I could hit it witht he beam It knocked me down. I rolled on the dirt, my hat falling off and my flashlight falling out of my hand as my back hit a tree trunk. Before I could stand back up I heard what sounded like a lazer shot and saw the monster fall tot he ground with a flash of red. I struggled to get up when someone's footsteps approached me. I looked up to see my hat and holding it, was my Grunkle Ford. He looked down at me and smiled as I took my hat and put it back on.

"dipper my boy, what are you doing here?"
