Chapter 5

"What about Willow and Logan?"

dipper's pov:

Everyone looked around at me before Wendy stood up "Thats perfect! Willow loves mysteries and paranormal things! and Logan's pretty smart and good with computers" We all took a vote and decided they could join us, of course, since it was my idea I was the one that had to convice them to join us (thanks Mabel). I shouldered my bag and headed out, I was about to leave the gate when I heard a voice behind me. "Dipper! Wait up!" I turned around to see Pacifica jogging towards me. "Hey Pacifca, whats up?" she flipped her long blonde hair out of her face, catching her breath, and looked at the ground almost, shyly. "I wanna go with you to look for them" I was suprised, I never thought Pacifica Northwest of all people would want to join me in a mission like this. I smiled "sure why not"

~time skip a few hours~

Pacifica and I sat on a bench in the middle of circle park. We were taking a break cause we hadnt found Willow or Logan anywhere. I took two bottles of water out of my bag and handed her one, she thanked me and I took a drink of mine. after a few minutes Pacifia stood up excusing herself to the bathroom leaving me there alone. soon I felt a presence behind me and I turned my head and my brown eyes met with a single blue one. I jumped back falling off the bench. "ahh! Willow!" she giggled a bit before walking around and holding her hand out, her black dress blowing softly in the breeze. "sorry pine tree, I didnt mean to scare you that badly" I took her hand and stood up, dusting myself off "thats ok, im used to Mabel doing it alo-" I paused, realization hitting me as i stared into her eye i took a step back, my fear begining to rise "w..what did you just call me?" she tilted her head "pine tree? you know, like your hat?" I felt my hat on my head, Id forgotten id put it on when i left this morning. "p..please dont call me that, it" I sighed "brings up really bad memories" she looked at the ground and brushed her hair behind her ear so i could see both her eyes, her pupils were normal, stop being paranoid Dipper.

I was lost in thought about, HIM, when a pale hand waved infront of me. "hello? earth to dipper?" I blinked a few times" yeah?"  she looked at the ground "im sorry for bringing up bad memories" "I..it's ok now, I was actually looking for you and your brother" she seemed confused so I began to explain. " We were wondering if you guys wanted to join us for something big in gravity falls" she tilted her head "bigger than the thing that happend five years ago that Wendy wont tell me about?" My eyes widdened "how do you know about that?" she began twiddled her fingers a bit " Can i tell you something?" I nodded and she looked around nervously "I..I saw something in the lake, something, weird" I nodded and was about to speak when someone cleared their throat behind me, I looked over and Pacifica and Logan were standing there. Pacifica glared at Willow but I dont think she noticed cause it was only for a second. Pacifica looked at me and smiled "Logan is in, is she?" I nodded and sholdered my bag again. "lets get back to the mansion" Logan gave me a weird look "mansion?" I nodded as a black car pulled up Pacifica smiled "good our ride is here"

~time skip back to the mansion~

When we pulled up to the Mansion Willow's eyes lit up "woaaah it's like a castle!" she grinned and quickly got out of the car, the rest of us got out too and before i went inside Pacifca pulled me off the the side "Dipper, I dont trust that girl" her face went a little red and I spoke without thinking about having any tact first "Pacifica, are you jealous?" her eyes went wide and she turned around and stormed inside just behind Willow and Logan. I stood there in shock as I realized, she actually WAS jealous. huh, who knew Pacifica could get jealous. I cleared my throat regaining my composure and went inside as well. When I got back to the dining room everyone was talking amongst themselves and I could hear Mabel and Candy muttering to themselves about how 'hot Logan is'. I shook my head, even after all this time My sister is still kinda boy crazy. I sat went over to Mcgucket who was working hard at the computer. when he saw me he jumped "Dipper ! good your back, I think you should fill the newbies in on what were dealing with." I nodded and called over Logan and Willow, when they got over to me I took a deep breath. "since you guys agreed to join us, im gonna fill you both in on what happened five years ago." everyone sat down in seats as some of Gideon's guard friends pulled in a board on wheels, it had many pictures of things that happened 5 years ago, the news articles and other things. I took a deep breath, I wasn't ready to relive what happend to me but, I had to do it sooner or later. I breathed out, ready to tell my tail.

"It all started when Mabel and I arrived in gravity falls, our parents thought being away from California would be a good idea. We began staying at our great uncles place in the woods, The mystery shack" I pointed to a photo of the mystery shack on the board. "everything was normal for a few weeks before our great uncle-" Mabel chimed in with a loud "grunkle!" I glared at her and she went silent "Our grunkle decided I needed to hang up signs in the woods for the shack. I came across a tree that wasnt really a tree, it was a hiding spot, I pulled a lever in it and discovered a journal in a hidden hole in the ground. I told Mabel about it and no one else because the book said no one in Gravity Falls could be trusted. After many weeks and many weird thinggs happening like, Gnomes pretending to be a teenage boy, an evil child psychic that wanted to kill me" i saw Gideon look at the floor in shame out of the corner of my eye. "Hauntings, time travel, A monster made of candy that no one really likes that eats you, a cult that wipes your memories, mermen, zombies, Finding out our grunkle Had a twin born with six fingers on each hand who wrote the journals, and so many other weird things." i began to shake a little at this point. "none of them matched up to the most powerful being weve ever met." i flipped the board to reveal the fimilar zodiac with the triangle in the middle "Bill Cipher, a dream demon from another dimension, he wanted to take over the world and almost did, It was event we called Weirdmageddon. it was many crazy days thinking the world was going to be destroyed" I looked down sadly "many of them I spent on my own after great uncle ford was captured, but thankfully I found friends to help me out, We saved Mabel from a horrible trap, and worked with the people in this room and many other towns folk to finally defeat Bill."

The room was silent as most of us were reminded of the horrors we went through. Willow stood up and walked over to me, I was shaking the entire time until, she hugged me. it was weird being hugged by a random girl id just met, but I was thankful when she spoke up. "thats why you didn't like me calling you oine tree,  of course we'll help you Dipper, I can't imagine what you all must have been going through all this time, but I think my brother will agree with me when I say, we WILL find your uncles" Logan stood up and smiled "yeah, she's right, I may not believe in paranormal stuff but I do know that missing family is hard to deal with" he looked down at the ground sadly before Willow spoke in my ear "our mother died a coupple years ago, and our father died just after logan was born, I hardly remember him at all" I nodded in understanding, I remember those days when I was alone in the oddpocalpse, thinking everyone I loved could be dead. Its a horrible feeling. Mcgucket stood up and cleared his throat "Now thats all settled and everyone is on board" he smiled and pushed his glasses father up his nose.
