five years later

Chapter 24

Then,  pain.

dipper's pov:

I woke up to the sound of slight humming, I opened my eyes to see Pacifica setting a tray of food on the bedside table next to me. She must have heard me wake up because she sat down on the edge of the bed next to me and spoke. "How do you feel?" I felt my side only to find my shirt was gone and my torso was bandaged "I think im ok?" I slowly sat up, with her help. "How long was I out?" She moved the pillows behind my back to help me sit up better as she spoke. "A coupple hours, it took awhile for Gideon to heal you, you had four broken ribs. You passed out from the pain and he said you needed to rest to get your strength back." She sighed and took my hand, rubbing the back of it gently with her thumb "I filled everyone in on what happened, they were really sad to hear about logan. Ford came back too. Mabel had been waiting for you to wake up but I wouldn't let her in so you could sleep." She nodded her head towards the tray of food." I brought you some stuff to eat when you woke up since you missed dinner."

I smiled, no one had ever done this much for me before, not even my parents. "Thanks Pacifica, for the food and for saving our butts down there" She smiled back. "Ill let everyone know your awake, go ahead eat, and shower and join us when your ready." I nodded "ok, ill be out in a bit." She let my hand go and stood up, she went to the door and was about to leave before she popped her head back in the door. "Oh yeah, there's some clothes for you in the bathroom to change into" she then dissapeared, closing the door behind her.

After my shower and I got my new clothes on, I  felt alot better.   My bandages were replaced and my cuts were healed but I was still a little sore. I grabbed some of the food off the tray and ate as I made my way down the hall. when I stopped, I pushed the door to the dining room open and all eyes turned to me.   Mabel was the first to run up to me,  almost tackleing me into a hug. "Your ok!!"  I stumbled back and slowly hugged her back "yeah, im ok,  but still kinda sore"  she let go of me and took a step back "oh,  sorry bro bro"   I smiled a bit and felt a hand on my shoulder,  it was Wendy. "Good to see you back on your feet dude,  we thought we were gonna have to tie your sister up." I laughed "sounds about right."  I saw pacifica step next to me and I spoke "we need to freeze Bell as soon as possible,  before she causes more harm"   Ford stepped forward "The chamber the shapeshifter was in is good to go,  I figure now that its dead we can just use that one."

It was a good idea,  we just had to find a way to trick Bell into getting into it.  If we got a team together we could push her into it,  but who could be good for that.  "If we can get her down there I can use my magic to push her in and keep her there long enough to freeze her"  Gideon spoke with a determined look on his face. I nodded "alright,  then we just need to lure her down there"  I turned to Pacifica "can I borrow your phone for a call?"  She looked confused but handed it to me, unlocked.  I went into her contacts,  calling her dad I put it on speaker.  As I predicted a familiar voice picked up. "Hello Pine Tree!"  I sighed "Bell,  I want to talk."   She paused "talk about what ?  What I did to your uncles?  logan?  My plans for the rest of you?"   I sighed and spoke the words I knew she'd want to hear "I want to make a deal" it was silent on her end for what seemed like forever "a deal huh?   Alright,  Ill bite. Where would you like to meet?"  "The same place you stole Logan's life, tomorrow at noon, come alone"  I hung up before she could answer.  Everyone looked at me and I spoke "everyone go get some sleep,  we have a big day tomorrow"

Everyone walked away to go to their rooms,  all that was left was me, Pacifica, Wendy, candy, grenda, and my sister.  Wendy was staring at my hand intertwined with Pacifica's. "Are you two...?" She trailed offx pionting her finger back and forth between both of us and Pacifica looked to me for conformation.  I nodded. "We're gonna see how things go."  I paused." Well, after we stop bell and her dad."  Mabel and her friends squealed in excitement,  It was so loud I thought I was gonna go deaf. Mabel pulled me back into a hug "thats amazing dipper!!"  "Oww! Mabel careful!"  She let me go "sorry"  she smiled nervously and she and her friends went off to bed.  Once they were gone Wendy smiled at me "good job dude,  im proud of you"  she went to walk out but turned to Pacifica "take care of him northwest,  ok?"  Pacifica nodded "i will."  Wendy left and I turned to Pacifica, holding my elbow out in movk faciness.  "Can I,  walk you to your room miss northwest?" She laughed a bit "of course you can"  she took my arm and I walked her to her old room, she had been staying in it since we found out her father was in leage with Bill.   We stopped outside her door and she paused before going in. "Dipper?"  I tilted my head to the side a bit "yeah?"  "Can I,  call you by your real name?"  I smiled "yeah,  you can call me by my real name"  she grinned and opened her door and was about to go in before she kissed me on the cheek "night!"  She quickly went inside her room and shut the door behind her, leaving me stunned.

The next day....

I stood in the middle of the cave,  hands in my pockets of my hoodie.   It was a minute till noon,  I wondered if she would show.   At exactly 12 on the dot I heard a voice behind me "hey there pine tree"  I jumped back and turned around,  Bell stood there,  her hair pitch black and her eyes blood red.  "You came"  she smirked "of course, I did,  I couldn't miss out on making a deal with you"  she stepped towards me and i took a step back,  towards the freezing chambers, it was silent. "Why did you let Logan die?"  Bell rolled her eyes at me "oh cmon, he was just a puppet,  it's not like he was ever really alive-"  I cut her off "but he had feelings!"  She smirked smugly at me "feelings that I let him have,  Golems aren't actually capable of emotions,  but I gave some to him just to mess with you all"  she seemed proud of herself for hurting him. "Now then,  whats this deal you spoke about?"  I breathed out,  trying to control my temper. "If you stop trying to bring your dad back,  my friends and I are prepared to give you anything you want, even control of the town"  her eyes glitered in excitment at that "control of the town huh? Thats quite a promise there pines."  I nodded a bit "I know,  but we can't risk your dad comming back,  your just the lesser of two evils."   She stepped forward a bit,  slowly as if stalking her prey,  which was me." What do your little friends have to say about this?"  I shrugged "they trust my judgement,  If I think it's best they'll go along with it" 

She tilted her head, stopping a few feet away from me, studying me. "Alright pinetree."  She opened her hand,  it glowed blood red like her eyes "it's a deal"  I raised my hand and just before I shook it Gideon popped up and his hand lit up blue. "Now!" My voice echoed off the walls of the cave and I pressed the button on the remote I had in my pocket. A net dropped ontop of bell,  a net made of unicorn hair to block her weirdness magic. "Pines!!!!"  She was angry,  her form changed back into the one she had before, blonde hair and blue eyes.  I ducked down and Gideon blasted her backwards into a wall.  She crumbled to the ground unconcious.  Gideon used his magic to lift her up,  he guided her towards the chamber and set her inside.  I took the net off her and the door closed around her.  The alarm set off and the cold began to fill the chamber and Bell began to wake up and beat against the glass "Ill get you Dipper Pines!!"   Her eyes glowed red and her body froze.   It was over. 

Everyone filed into the cave from the other smaller tunnels around,  they were all cheering and I finally let out a breath of relief,  It was over,  we stopped her.  I turned to see pacifica running towards me,  when she got to me I pulled her into a hug,  picking her up slightly and spinning her around in excitement. We both laughed as everyone came together in a giant group hug around us.  I let Pacifica down and turned to my sister,  my best friend. "We did it Mabel."  She grinned "we did,  im just glad it's finally over." I nodded "I am too,  but now we can relax and finally enjoy jusy being in town for awhile."  I felt a hand on the top of my head and turned to see Ford, who ruffled my hair. " Good job Dipper,  Im proud of you all,  you guys did great in stopping Bill from comming back."   I grinned,  people didn't often tell me they wereproud of me so that made things even better for me.  I got everyone's attention and spoke up "alright guys!  Lets get out of here and go party now that we can live our lives again"  they all cheered and all started to leave.  I turned back to look at bell's frozen form, which soos and wendy had put more unicorn hair around,  and sighed.  Maybe now we can finally live our lives in peace.
