Chapter 18

Then he threw it at me.

Mabel's pov:

I closed my eyes just as i heard a thunk next to my right ear. I opened my eyes to see a knife in the the board out of the corner of my eye. Gideon smirked and gave me a look that said ' I told you so' and pulled out two more knives, he began to throw them all at me, using his magic bracelets to guide them in a perfect outline of my head and shoulders. I blinked as the crowd went wild, and Gideon stepped towards me and took my hand and whispered "are you ok?" I nodded and he moved me forward to the front of the stage and raised our combined hands "Mabel pines everyone!" the crowd continued and Gideon turned to me "you can sit back down alright." I nodded nd stepped back down the stairs, letting his hand go at the bottom one and sitting down. Gideon stood and smiled to the crowd "that's all! goodnight everyone!" He took a bow, walked backwards a bit and the curtains closed in front of him.

As the place cleared out, I turned to Grunkle Stan and Logan "lets go see Gideon!" I took both their hands and practically dragged them backstage where gidon was taking off the knife belt and setting it on his vanity. I called out to him "Gideon!" I ran up and hugged him "that was you best show yet! I had no idea you got back into such cool magic" Stan gave me a weird look "what do you mean back into it? he's always done magic here" I sighed and let Gideon go "Grunkle Stan, we need to talk, all four of us." he was confused but sighed "fine, lets go to the mansion."

It didn't take long to get back to where Stan was living in this fantasy world, Northwest manor. I guess here it would be Pines manor though. We walked in and sat at the dining table in the dining room. Stan sat at the head, Logan sat on the left side while me and Gideon sat on the right. I took a deep breath before I started. "Grunkle Stan, this world isn't real" He stared at me before laughing. After awhile he stopped "Mabel sweetie I know, I just wanted to see how long I could keep you three going!" I blinked at him and Gideon spoke "you, knew Mr. Pines?" Stan turned towards him and snapped "of course I knew you little brat. why do you think I came to find you three." of course he knew, he always seemed to know things most people didn't. Logan scrunched his eyebrows together "if you know where you are, does that mean you know the way out?" Stan sighed and shook his head. "I wish I could say I did, the only place I haven't been able to get into is the shack, this place doesn't have ladders so I can't get over the wall."

I looked at Gideon and Logan knowing we had a way to get over it and Gideon spoke. "Stan Pines, we have a way to get over it." He raised his hands and the other chairs along the table started to float around us. after he set them back down Stan shook his head. "oh no, I am not doing THAT, your crazy if you think that what im doing" I turned to him "Grunkle Stan, it's the only way we're gonna be able to get out of here, Dipper and the others will be waiting for us." I turned to Logan "how much time do we have left? Logan looked down at his watch "we only have an hour, time moves really quickly in here" I turned back to my grunkle "We need to go now or we'll never be able to leave." he sighed, I could tell he was thinking. "alright, lets go, I have a feeling of where the portal back might be once we get inside" I smiled and stood up "lets go then"

It didn't take us long to get to the wall that surrounded the abandoned Mystery Shack. I turned to Gideon "ok Gid, your up" he nodded "alright, here we go yall" his hands glowed blue and I felt myself being lifted off the ground, the four of us were lifted up over the wall and set back gently on the gravel on the other side. I looked at all of them and breathed out "alright, Grunkle Stan where do you think it is?" he chuckled "where else? the basement" I blinked, of course it would be where the original portal was. We ran towards the shack and Stan kicked the door yo the gift shop in. there was stuff all over the place, old novelties covered in dust. we walked forward and Gideon put the code to the door into the vending machine. the door swung open and we ran inside, right to the elevator. I hit the button to the bottom floor and we headed down.

The elevator was pretty squeaky, more than the one back home. It stoped at the bottom floor and we got out, ran down the hall and into the giant cave like room. the old portal was still there, a bright glowing light came from the circle. suddenly the room began to shake and rocks fell from the ceiling. I heard Logan yell from right next to me "Guys we only have a few minutes!" I nodded and we ran forward, Gideon used his magic bands to create a sheild above us that the rocks bounced off of, once we got to the portal we lined up side by side and took eachother's hands. "together! one...two...three!" together we ran into the portal.

I was blinded by light for awhile before it slowly died down and we were back in the real world. Stan looked down at me from my left and put his hand on my head "good job kiddo, you saved the day" I smiled and looked ahead to see my brother calling out to tell our friends.  I called out to him "dipper!"  I started to walk towards him but he ran forward yelling "GUYS!" I looked just passed him to see all our friends that stayed behind laying unconcious on the ground and ran forward too, the others trailingn behind me "candy! grenda!" I saw dipper slide a bit and kneel next to Soos. I stopped inbetween Candy and Grenda and shook them a bit "guys? wake up this isnt funny!" there was suddenly a familiar laugh from nearby. I looked up to see Willow standing there next to Pacifica's dad who was now untied. I heard dipper next to me "Willow?" Willow smirked at us and took a step closer to speak.

"welcome home, friends."

woah whats this?  two chapters in a row?  yeah i have more time to write now so you all get more chapters.

sadly though this book is almost finished.  but lucky for you guys,  this is only book 1!  i have big things planned for this series so i hope you all stick around to see it through.  until next time!
