Chapter 21

"we can freeze her"

bell's pov, a few hours eariler:

"you'll just have to play my game and see." in a flash we were gone, re-appearing back at the newly built Northwest manor in Preston's office. I pushed Preston Northwest away from me.  "those kids really are annoying, I can't wait to get rid of them" I snapped my fingers and the chair appeared behind me.   I sat down waving my hand as a drink appeared in my hand. Preston sat in the chair across from me. "so, what should we do next?  they have to their uncles back,  and you broke your cover" 

I sighed "I wanted them to find out my identity you moron, and I wanted them to 'save' their uncles"   I held my hand out as a crystal ball appeared,  the image of Dipper's group in their little meeting room appeared,  Preston looked at it "how long do you think it will take them to find out?"  I smirked "oh they'll find out soon enough"  I looked at him "go get some rest,   I have some planning to do"   Preston stood up and left the room,  leaving me to my thoughts.  

dipper's pov, present:

"wendy, what do you mean freeze her?" she stood up, grabbing journal 3 and flipping to a familiar page. the one about the hiding place under the tree. "here, remember when we fought the shape shifter? we froze it in that machine, if we can somehow fix another one of the macines we can freeze bell and she won't be able to carry out her plan" she had a good point, maybe it could work , I closed the book "we'd have to be careful if we hit the wrong thing the shapeshifter can be freed, and that thing could turn into anyone in town, or even the world" Ford stood up "wait, you mean that shapeshifter escaped it's cage?" he looked to the ground a bit and began mumbling "I knew I should have destroyed it when I had the chance"

he looked back at me "if we're going to go down there we need a small team, people capable of taking down the shape shifter if need be. this room is protected from outside magic so as logn as everyone else stays in here they should be safe from anything bell might try" I thought for a moment, I would be going of course, but who else... "I got it" everyone turned to me "Ford, Pacifica, Logan, and I will go. Ford and Logan are good with machines, Pacifica and I can go for extra protection." everyone seemed alright with the plan, as the others got ready to head out Mabel walked up to me. "you be careful ok? last time we were down there you and Wendy almost got really hurt" I hugged her "it'll be ok Mabel, we got this" my sister pulled something out from behind her, a baseball bat "take this with you just incase" I took it, feeling the wood in my fingers "thanks Mabel"

some time later....

It didn't take long to reach the undergound bunker. Ford led the way down the stairs, flashligjt held out infront of him. Logan was just behind him, leaving Pacifica and I to bring up the back. I noticed Pacifica looking around at the walls "this place gives me the creeps, not as much as that hidden room we found during that ghost incident" I laughed a little "yeah, that was probably the best night i had that summer, even if I did get turned to wood" I thought back to how that felt and shivered. we reached the bottom and I took out the journal "ok, we need to find these sumbols before yhe room crushes us, so keep an eye out for them" i held up a small black light to the page so they could all see what symbols to press. after we all knew what to do Ford led the way into the first room, as expected the door lovked behind us and the pannels around the room began to move towards us, we each pressed a symbol and were soon in the main area of the bunker.

the spider webs and dust had piled up alot more around the room since the last time we'd been down here, Ford hadn't been down here in decades, I hadnt been down here since we fought the shapeshifter, which was luckily still frozen in the chamber. pacifica and Logan had never been here before. "so before we go in, nonone touch this button" I pointed at the freeze button for the shape shifter's chamber. "it will free the shape shifter and it will probably attack us" Pacifica nodded "lets just get this over with so we can trap that triangle's daughter" I led the way into the giant area behind the glass, Logan stayed behind to work on the control panel while ford began to fix one of the broken chambers.

I saw Pacifica staring at the chamber that held the shape shifter. she looked afraid seeing what looked like me inside. I walked up next to her "it's disturbing, isn't it?" she nodded "if I didn't know any better I really would have thought that was actually you in there" I laughed a bit "yeah, it gave me a really ominus warning before we froze it, something about meeting a fate worse that I could ever imagine, then it froze like that" I pointed to it, frozen as me in fear. I felt a hand on my shoulder "nothing is going to happen to you Dipper, I promise"

I smiled at her "thanks Pacifica" suddenly a freezing cold breeze blew over the two of us, and I heard Logan's voice over a loud speaker "you really shouldnt make promises you can't keep pine tree" we turned to the window, Logan stood there, hand on the red button for the shapeshifter's chamber, his eyes were cat like, and blood red. bell was posessing him. I watched him collapse as the chamber of the shapeshiftet opened, it climbed out, still looking like me and grinned evily.

"welcome back, dipper"
