As the Pack and Gladers activate the Plan Newt to rescue Stiles will everyone make it back alive - do plans ever work the way you plan?

I finally get the answer I have been waiting for, did it really have to take all of this for him to finally answer me. Why does this make me feel worse then I had only moments ago? I don't know whether to cry with happiness at the answer or breakdown knowing that this was never actually going to happen.
So much time had been lost between us I was scared that he didn't feel the same way after seeing the heartbreak he had suffered with Thomas when he lost Teresa.
"Lydia, is this in relation to the question you asked Stiles just before everything happened again? Well the morning of the Bank Robbery incident and kidnapping." Thomas ask surprising me that he knew but then again him and Stiles have such connection and bond that I am not entirely surprised he knew.
"Yeah, I think so. When did he tell you?" I ask curious to when he found out as they have barely seen each other and neither Scott or Sheriff had mentioned it to me.
"When I was in Bardo with Newt, during one of his visits Stiles told us what happened. He was so annoyed that you had asked him first, some of his time with us we had been helping him to plan the perfect plan to ask you." Thomas explains which made me well up even more, Stiles was planning to ask me and only had delayed so to make it perfect.
"Sorry to interrupt but for the people not able to visit the place between life and death. What is this plan or question you are both speaking about?" Scott asks looking confused as I suddenly realise that everyone was watching the conversation between me and Thomas, like a tennis match.
"Well the morning of the Bank incident happening, I asked Stiles to marry me. He hadn't given me an answer as he had been called into work. Looks like his answer was going to be yes." I explain as I finally allow the tears I had been holding in to fall down my face.
"I am so sorry Lydia, Stiles would always talk about how he couldn't wait to get back to you whenever we were on a case. You made him so happy." Rafael explains wiping away his own tears which were falling freely as I know along with everyone else that over the past few years he had grown quite close with Stiles.
"Alright, right now we need to pop our feelings aside and follow through with his plan of getting out of here. Stiles mentioned that SWAT have been mobilised, so I am guessing once we radio on the channel mentioned in the first note they will take down W.I.C.K.E.D at the same time as our escape." Rafael finishes seeming to place his FBI head on and taking control of the situation.
As Rafael finishes Thomas stands up and leaves the room before returning with a several papers which he lies across the floor, they seem to show ever section of the Maze. I notice on the papers Stiles's handwriting is present and realise that Stiles must have made these while he was here alone.
"He may not be with us anymore but he still can help us get out of here, let's do this for Stiles! So he explains on his note that the exit is the Griever hole again in Section 7 but we know from our first time around that you can only enter with a device. Now the problem we have is that the devices live inside the Grievers themselves." Thomas starts to explain taking charge over from Rafael.
"The other problem we have is there are currently no known Grievers present for us to steal one from however I think Stiles has thought of that also. He said the code to exit was Mischief, Chuck and Teresa, now according to Stiles's markings on the Maps one of them names don't appear anywhere in the Maze itself." Thomas advises while pointing to the different marked sections.
"Teresa is the passcode to exit the Maze. So does that mean the reason he mentioned the other two was because he left something behind for us in the sections with Mischief and Chuck's names located." Scott clarifies aloud realising what Thomas was on about but sounding slightly unsure whether what he was saying is correct.
"I think so, we all know that Stiles never trusted Plan A's, so always made sure to have a Plan B and C prepared just in case. So Gally and Frypan you need to go into Section 7 and do some recon to see if there are any surprises waiting for us, Derek and Scott you are going to head to the section labelled Mischief and see what you can uncover what Stiles has left us." Thomas explains setting task for everyone.
"Jorge and Brenda will go to section labelled Chuck and see what you can find there to help us, Rafael and Chris I want you to take inventory of the weapons available and see if you can use the materials around to construct some form of carrier for Stiles. Lydia, you and I will go to this section here." Thomas advises me as he points to the section labelled What three things can not long be forgotten.
Why would he want us to go there? This wasn't mentioned in Stiles's notes.
As everyone nods in agreement before heading to the assigned areas knowing time is currently not on our side, I wait until I know we were far enough from everyone else before asking Thomas what has bugged me since he handed out the assignments.
"Why are we heading here for? Shouldn't we be focused on helping everyone else in the other sections." I ask him and notice right away he isn't fazed by the question, instead he acted more as though he had been expecting it.
"On my final visit with Stiles and Newt in Bardo, he explained everything that had happened to him the last time he was here along with explaining that Plans are in place just in case this ever happened again to us. You know what scared him the most of ending back here, was the thought of never seeing you again." Thomas explains as we turn the final corner and saw the large words printed in front of us of the mantra him and Stiles use.
"Did you know I never knew the answer to the motto? Stiles would always hide the answer away from me, anytime I tried searching for it in his memories until I finally accepted what had to happen. Until I found the Sun, the Moon and the truth." He explains walking towards the wall and pressed on a section of the Maze wall that popped open to reveal a box inside.
I step forward to get a closer look inside the box as Thomas carefully removes it from inside the wall and sets it down on the ground. Inside was a small black box along with a backpack that contained a radio, couple of guns with extra ammunition and a few explosive devices.
"I guess we found Plan B! By the way the box is for you, it is from Stiles. He had it on him when he was taken, so when he set up the plans he decided to leave it here for safe keeping. I guess he would have came back to collect it before he left but never got the chance." Thomas advises handing me the small box while placing the backpack on to his back. I carefully open the box lid and to reveal the most beautiful ring I had ever seen.

When I look at the ring I realise how much he truly did notice me, understood me and loves me. I slip the ring onto my finger, making a silent promise to never take it off again and to also never love anyone the way I love Stiles again.
