Chapter 17

Rafael POV

Everyone arrives back into the Glade at the same time, each group arrives carrying a backpack full of supplies that they hadn't had when they first left, these must have been what Stiles stored on his visit here.

Once back in the council hall, Gally and Frypan report no signs of any creatures present at Section Seven while both Scott and Jorge's teams both showing the contents of their backpacks with Thomas showing the one him and Lydia had collected from wherever they had disappeared off too.

After they had all shown what was inside I notice that each pack complements each other, Thomas's pack contains the explosives, Scott's pack contains the maps of where to place them in the Maze and the building on the outside along with a walkie talkie and Jorge's pack contained supplies that they would need.

Stiles really had thought of everything from knives to rope to even a mini first aid kit, it really does still amaze me to this day how his mind works, I am also grateful for the fact that he never relies just on Plan A working.

"Okay so it looks like he was working with the same Plan as Operation Newt seeing as we were all involved. With the slight difference that this time, no one is been left behind to set off the explosions, we are all going home together one way or another." I state while glancing over to where Stiles's body had been moved too.

"Can't argue with you on that one Dad. Let's make contact with Sheriff and FBI so we know when to start. Here Dad, I think its best if you are the one to talk." Scott advises as he takes the walkie talkie from his bag and hands it over to me.

I set the radio to channel six before speaking into it while praying silently this would work, "This is Agent McCall of the FBI, I am trying to reach Sheriff Noah Stilinski, over" I state before releasing the button and place it down while we wait for a response.

"Rafael is that you? We can hear you loud and clear. Over" Sheriff shouts back through the radio, delight and relief evidence in his voice as he spoke. Currently oblivious to the fact that his Son never made it.

"Noah, its good to hear your voice. You have got everyone listening and prepared to get out of here. Over!" I state back carefully avoiding naming those in the room as this is not the right time to tell him.

"As requested on the note found in Stiles's Jeep, SWAT have the outer perimeter already secured ready for your exit from the Maze. We are ready to go as soon as you give us a shout, set the timers for ninety minutes time before heading to the exit. Over." Sheriff explains and everyone nods to show they understood the message and plan.

"Message received loud and clear. Plan will commence immediately after the completion of our conversation. Please be advised that Thomas has been located alive. Over" I advise looking directly at Thomas who was surprised I had even mentioned him at all.

"That is the best news I have heard so far today! Stiles, if you are there it's okay. I understand why you did this and I forgive you! Over and out" Sheriff states before the radio goes dead and the room's atmosphere changes to a sombre one, knowing Stiles would never hear that message.

"Alright lets get out of here, Chris and I will transport Stiles out of here. Jorge and Thomas can you both sort out the explosives and then meet us at the entrance to the exit point." I advise grabbing my own supplies before heading to Stiles with Chris behind me.

"Come on bud, one more journey for me and you!" I state showing the softer side of myself that I normally reserve for Scott, Melissa or when I am in private as I lift Stiles on to the make shift carrier with the help of Chris.
