It has been two days since the last incident that shock Ningguang. The sight of Beidou at that time was horrid for her. She wanted to punish herself for letting that happen and only if she wasn't too shy to cry in front of her and tell everything that her heart has been longing to tell.

Ningguang, a cold and heartless woman, can also be someone who deeph cares and loves you. She's just bad at expressing it because of her bitter past.

The past, in which it changed the flow of their lives.

Last two years when they were still lovers....

"Hi honey! I'm home!" Beidou excitedly said as she ran towards Ningguang to kiss her on the forehead, "Missed me?"

Ningguang smiled brightly, "Yes, honey," but she pouted, "And you're late again at our anniversary date..." there was a sad tone on her voice.

Beidou scratched the back of her head and tried to reason, "Ah—well..." she chuckled nervously then Ningguang cuts her off.

"Did you forget it? Again?" her heart ached, she pursed her lips to stop her from crying, "Beidou, do you still care?" she was hurt.

She gasped when a tear has left her eyes so she immediately hugged her, "Oh, no no no—" she wiped the tears that was sliding down her cheek, "How could I forget such thing? Honey, you are the most important thing in my life." she kissed her.

Ningguang was touched but the anger was still there, "Then why are you late?"

She caressed her cheek, "I'm sorry, I just have a lot of errands to make." she said softly, "But don't worry! I will always try to have time for you!" she tried to make the other happy.

She flashed a thin smile, "Alright, let's just eat..." she trailed off, the hurt was still there.

Beidou felt that her lover was disappointed so she tried again to make the atmosphere lighter, "How was your day? The business?" she held her hand.

The white haired woman did not bother to meet her eyes, "Fine, same as always." she was acting cold.

But the captain at that time was the most impatient person, "Look, I'm so so sorry..." she ran her hand at her own face, "It won't happen again, alright?" she assured her but the tianquan doubted that.

Ningguang lost her appetite so she sets down her utensils, "Beidou, this happens all the time.." she sighed, "Even I forget about the most important things." she sounded like she wanted to end things early but tries to hold on.

"Yes, I know." Beidou knew where this was going, "But.. we are going to make things better, right?" she was optimistic.

She glanced at the window and did not reply so the captain continued, "We are not tired of each other, right?" her heart also ached.

Ningguang was indeed tired, "Honey, we have less time for each other and everytime we wanted some quality time..." their eyes finally met, "...it just does not work.." her voice shook.

"We will make it work, honey." she loves Ningguang so much but her efforts seemed to not have satisfy her still. But Beidou will do everything she can muster, to not lose her love.

The sound of hands slamming down the table terrified the captain, "No, it's pointless." she was almost raising her voice.

She was speechless as Ningguang never reacted this way. The tianquan would always act cold and distant but not angry like that.

Ningguang closed her eyes and took a heavy breathe then she went outside even though it was pouring rain.

"Ningguang." she called out as she grabbed an umbrella and followed her.
