chapter xxviii

Ningguang woke up and chose to abandon her works since it is a weekday. She would mostly do her works everyday but she wanted to spend the whole day with her love. She was now laying on a bed, Beidou had carried her all along here but it pissed her off when her love was not around. Maybe she left right after she tucked her in here. She groaned and did a massive stretch which made a cracking noise on her bones.

Ganyu suddenly peeked in the corner when she heard her boss, "Miss Ningguang? Are you already awake?" she knocked softly at the door.

Her boss was too light-headed to even respond, "Where is Beidou?" she even checked under her covers unconsciously. Then she noticed a slight trace of somebody that had slept beside her and also a hint scent of Beidou's.

"She left hours ago when I told her about an emergency that happened near her ship. Xiangling had notify me about it." she reported.

Ningguang nodded, still not on her senses, "What time is it now?" she rubbed her eyes then let out a small yawn.

"About ten o'clock." when the tianquan heard this, she was snapped back and immediately straightened up. She had no idea she had overslept.

Ganyu then folded her arms, "The captain was already awake when I told her about the news," she then smiled broadly, "Looks like she was waiting for you to wake up." she giggled.

Then she squealed, "I wish someone would look at me like the way she had been staring at you." she groaned, "I also wish to have cuddles with my love." she said dreamily.

This made Ningguang feel a thump on her chest, "She was staring? Oh my..." she began panicking, "What if I drooled on my sleep? That is not very elegant!" she wiped her mouth to check a trace.

"Maybe," Ganyu said like she does not care about it at all, "But she was only stroking your hair or your cheeks. I mean no—Miss Ningguang, I wasn't taking a peek." she jabbered.

But Ningguang smiled, she could feel her day going well, "Not to worry." she assured her secretary who grew red, "It's our fault for not locking the door." she chuckled.

It made her happy when she knew that Beidou had stayed the night and maybe that's why she had been slumber for so long because she's sleeping beside her love. Since it's about time for lunch, she decided to invite Beidou for a date. All these times, they really never had a proper date.

Ganyu was about to leave when Ningguang called her, "Do you know when and where she will be back?"

"About thirty minutes from now on at the Liyue Harbor's wharf." she recited then left.

Ningguang went to take a shower and also dress herself up. She felt bad at Beidou having to skip breakfast to proceed quickly at the emergency, the captain must be tired and hungry. Beidou, even though she may be reckless and outgoing sometimes, is a very hardworking person and would do everything what her love would ask. It may be possible for her to go through the depths of the sea in order to obtain something if she was asked by Ningguang. The captain just loves her so much she would also move a mountain for her.

After preparing for about twenty minutes, she went outside of her Jade Chamber which strong winds welcomed her. Some of her employees greeted her with a smile as they took care of the little works they were obligated to do.

"Miss Ningguang," Haiwen called her, "Are you out for a meeting?" she curiously asked.

Even though she is the boss of her place, she felt shy whenever she talks about her plans, "I am taking Beidou on a date." she muttered.

Haiwen almost squealed in excitement as she heard her boss' lovelife, "That is great," she beamed and flashed an 'okay' sign, "Have fun, Miss Ningguang." then she walked away to take care of something.
