At last, the four of them had reunited. Xiangling and Ganyu seemed to have a plan so they were planning to leave early but when Beidou said that they will be going to a tavern, they also wanted to go.

"No, it's not for kids like you." she said, earning a pout from the two.

Xiangling put her hands on her waist, "Argh! Well, I guess captain want some alone time with Miss Ningguang." she still felt sad when they were being pushed away.

The secretary nodded in approval, "Yeah, they definitely want to have the time only for themselves." they sounded like their kids.

Ningguang sighed, "Here are some mora, spend whatever you want just give me the receipts later." she gave them a packet of money.

They cheered, "Let's go at Cat's tail!" they ran off. Beidou shook her head.

She leaned closer to Ningguang, "Hmm? Also wanted some alone time with me?" she teased, softly tickling her sides.

She turned away, "Oh, please," she waved her hand, "I just don't like their innocent minds to get poisoned." she explained then started walking without Beidou.

She caught up with her, "You're right, they shall not see us doing matured things—" she earned a light punch on her stomach.

"Ow!" she mocked as if the light punch had hurt her badly, "I'm glad you accepted my invitation at the Angel's Share." she smiled.

They were almost at the tavern, "It's nothing though a slightly reminder: I am not your chaperone if you ever get too drunk." she said stiffly.

She laughed it off, "Please, I never get drunk." Ningguang wanted to slap her in the face as she recalls the first deed they did at the boat, "And also, I am just so happy that you're finally getting along with me."

Ningguang smiled, "Whatever.. I know even if I refuse, you will still insist on going." she joked.

They finally reached the tavern and went inside it. The smell of aroma welcomed them, "Oh, hi.. Captain.." Diluc acted like she had done something bad at him.

Beidou smiled sheepishly then handed him a bag of mora, "I know it's out of date but late is better than never, aye?" she reasoned.

Diluc ignored her but took the bag of mora, "Hmm? Miss Ningguang?" he was bewildered as he shifts gazes at one another, "A sudden comeback? I suppose." he flashed a grin at his lips.

Ningguang took this as her response, "Bitter exes, I call it." she closed her eyes as she remembers Beidou talking to other girls a while ago.

The captain only chuckled so the owner went on, "Beidou would always come here to tell everything about you," he trailed off as he made some drinks, "I guess your past lover seemed to be—" he thought of proper words, "—full of grief."

Beidou butted in, shy at what he said, "Oh! That's not true!" she laughed nervously.

Ningguang felt an ache on her heart as she heards this but Diluc went on to completely destroy her feelings, "Everytime she comes here, she always would highly speak of you. How great your business is and how professional and skillful you are." Beidou wanted to close Diluc's mouth.

She held Ningguang, "Too vulnerable for me! You might have mistaken. Mi'lady, don't believe him." her tone shook. She hated looking so vulnerable especially in front of the tianquan.

She fell silent. She felt bad leaving Beidou like that.. on her birthday. If only there was a chance, she would travel back time and warn the past Ningguang to hold on tight even of it hurts.
