She loved him more than she loved herself
he controlled her, and he knew it
she cried because of him each night
he laughed at her misery, for it amused him
she was addicted, and he was her drug
he was having fun, using her to ignore his pain
she was suffocating under his harsh grasp
he was just getting started, barely gripping her
she knew he would only hurt her, but she stayed
he didn't know why he loved hurting her; he just did
she smelled his radiating toxicity, and still, she denied it
he knew he was hurting her, but it was his only comfort
she knew there was someone else far better for her
he knew she didn't need him, but he liked the thought
she wanted him and no one else; that is why she is in pain
he wanted his own happiness; that is why he is using her
she would cut herself a thousand times if only he'd love her
he would leave her again and again if only he found happiness
she loved him so much her eyes blurred his flaws
he was ready to leave her whenever he found someone who gave him more joy; he was always ready to break her
she was ready to face the pain of seeing him with someone else; she always knew she wasn't enough for him
