chapter 5

Jin let me sleep at his house again because he refuses to let me stay at a hotel. In return, I keep making them breakfast and dinner alongside snacks here and there if I'm over. Jin-ah ain't complaining since she doesn't have to cook anymore and she gets to try different food other than the classic Korean cuisine.

Yu called us to meet at this one gate and what I saw made me want to laugh. People filling in so we can go to the dungeon. Some look tired and others were injured such as a broken leg.

"They're our teammates for today! Those who have a hunter's license but can't attend raids due to various reasons. Those who are struggling in life because of various reasons were drafted into our team. There are also some who came here for a quick cash grab." 

"Is a kid even allowed to do raids?"

"If an underaged kid is awakened then there's no law banning them from raids."

"Kid? That's rude. I'm a full-fledged hunter." 

typing on my phone before going to her and allowing it to be read. ' You aren't a hunter till you've actually killed a monster with your own hands.' 

"Hey."

"You're a high schooler, right? do you have any raid experience?" Jin isn't amused by this idea either.

"None."

"E-Rank I assume? Well, it's okay. You don't have to follow me into the dungeon. Just wait outside. Only  Jin-ho, Ji-Soo, and I will go in."

Before entering one of the guys asked a question. "Um, will you really give 3,000,000 won to each of us even when we stay outside?

"Of course. 3 million won per raid for each of you! Pretty darn good deal considering that you don't have to lift a finger. All you have to do Is wait for us outside until we finish. However, you must not tell anyone what you've seen or heard here. If you do, you must pay back 10 times as much as you earned. It's all written in the contract you've signed."

"I've been wondering. What in the world are you wearing." Jin sighed and looked at Yu in this fancy orange and grey armor from head to toe.

"It's a full set of hardened armor made in Italian artisan guild. If we're going to raid with just the three of us, shouldn't I prepare at least this much?" Looking at the armor it's so shiny. I want to touch it. The second I lay a finger on it he tilts and falls back.

"Just take off the armor when I'm asking you nicely."

"Alright brother. Please help me up!" He starts falling his legs like a kid throwing a temper tantrum. "Alright! Let's get going brother, sister." Oh yeah in Korea When people are close they call each other brother or sister depending.

Later we come out of the gate and the others start freaking out when they see it close. After clearing another dungeon I've become level 41 while Sung Jin-woo was level 40. We both gained the skills 'advance dagger arts' and 'vital strike.' Now that Jin is level 40 he finally got the job change alongside me.

Stepping out of the gate a guy walked up to us. "Hunter Sung Jin-Woo. Nice to meet you. I'm the chief of the second department of management at the White Tiger Guild. How about we talk somewhere."

"Ok, there should be a cafe shop not far from here. But Jeong Ji-Soo is coming with" Pointing at me. The man allowed it not really caring.

We sat down at the table in the corner of the shop and got straight to the business.

"Hunters, Reaper, Knights, Fame, and us, White Tiger. You should've heard of those at least once. Of course, the White Tiger Guild is one of South Korea's best guilds. I'll get to the point, We want to recruit you into the White Tiger Guild for twice the amount that Yoo Jin Architectures offered you." I spit out some of the coffee I was drinking. seeing this he started to worry.

"How much is the White Tiger Guild's building price for you to make an offer like this?"

"Excuse me? We're not using all the floors, but it should be around 50 billion."

"And you want to hand that over to me."

"Eh? I'm not sure what you're talking about." He obviously didn't do his homework on us.

" Yoo Jin's offered sum was a 30 billion won building. If you're offering twice their price, doesn't that mean you'll be offering your 50 billion won White Tiger Guild building? If you doubt me I can show you it."

"Such a high price goes past my abilities. If you give me some time I can negotiate with the guild's higher-ups."

"Then we're finished here. let's go Ji-Soo." following his lead we get out of our seats. "Oh yeah how did you find out about me? Jeong Ji-Soo!" Taking it as my cue is used stealth that let me vanish. It takes up 10 mana per second but it's pretty good. Going behind him and leave a scratch or two on his cheek. " Don't turn around." Both of them having a staring competition. 

"I didn't order the research on purpose. Somebody working in our guild noticed that somebody was clearing C-rank dungeons at an extremely fast rate, so we dug into it and found you. Three Major accidents occurred inside gates recently. I have no evidence, but 3 times is not a coincidence anymore. Because of your reawakening, you received abilities of a high-ranked hunter and overcame all those accidents. Yoo Jin-Ho must've seen your skill during the second raid, and is receiving a test from his father's guild similar to what you both are doing right now. Considering all those points, everything comes together, and we arrive at where we stand now."

"How many people know about me?"

"Just me and one of my subordinates."

"I do not want the number of people who know about me to increase. If, perhaps a rumor about me starts spreading, can I take it as your and your subordinate's responsibility?"

"I'll warn my subordinate properly."

"Jeong Ji-Soo you can calm down now." going back to my chair I appear once again with a smile on my face. "We don't plan on stoping the C-rank dungeons."

"Then how will we train our new recruits."

"We'll do this. We'll sell 3 C-Rank gates. Of course, this is a special offer only for today. If you don't take this chance, It will be hard to reserve a C-rank Gate for a while."

"I accept. How much."

"300 million each."

"300 million is a bit difficult for us so how about 200 million!" Jin looked at me as if asking my opinion. Typing on my then turning it to him. 

'Yeah, we can do that.'

"Okay then. 3 C-Rank gates, Total 600 million. Please send it to my account." With that, we walked out of there.

'At least we got something out of that.' 

"Yeah, you did a great job."

What that guy didn't know is that we weren't going to raid tomorrow. We played him like that fool that he is.
