(Jin's pov)
"If you top now, you would be remembered as a hero who stopped the invasion of the monarchs and forever be remembered by the people. However, no one will be able to remember the fight you are getting into now. if you are to lose the fragments will be waiting for you, and even if you are to win, no one will be there to congratulate you."
"Ji-soo would." no response came from the armored ruler. "She's a ruler like you guys so she should be able to remember. She's waiting for me to complete this. Losing this battle isn't an option. I'm going back in time."
The ruler was silently applauding at my words. Summoning the cup of resurrection it flouted just above their hand. "May your courage save your world. As its final use was consumed a light blinded the entire world.
It only took 27 years in the dimensional crack to kill the monarch of transfiguration. This fight finally comes to an end. My battle with the dragon monarch again was an eventful battle but it ended with my victory. In the first fight, he revealed his trump cards so I prepared a way of countering.
A crack was formed upon my return but it closed with nothing coming out which shook everyone who watched.
"You've returned safely. Welcome back." A ruler disguised as a man. Pink bouquets of flowers rested in their hands. "I didn't expect you to appear in the form of a middle schooler."
"It's because people might've been scared if I came out with a full beard face." I accepted the flowers without reluctance. "it feels to have at least one face to welcome me. I've won so where is my girlfriend?"
"Jeong Ji-soo. She's not from this world so the other rulers are currently trying to set things straight so she isn't out of place. She will come to you after things are completed." He folded his hands behind his back.
"Is that all?"
"The other rulers have sent a message so it might be a long conversation. Shall we move to another location?" The thought of seeing her so soon made me feel giddy. What would she look like now?
"Alright but there's a place I'd like to drop by."
We drove to the ruler's confusion. I've been fighting and using my abilities non-stop for 27 years give me a break. Ordering 6 large bowls of ice cream while my quest to a medium.
"You wanted to stop by an ice cream shop?"
"When you've been to a place of nothingness you start to crave something sweet. What did the rulers say?"
"They would like to thank you as usual. All problems have been resolved. They are worried about your's and Ji-soo's powers since you both have the ability to influence the direction of the world. The world isn't ready for the two of you." I scooped a spoon full of ice cream as I just stared waiting for them to finish.
" They have no mana. We were wondering if you wanted to move to another world with Ji-soo that could accept your powers."
"Instead of doing something that's such pain in the a$$ like moving worlds why not just seal us and let us live in peace? Now that we have no use are you guys getting rid of us? All because of the powers we possess?"
The ruler started to sweat bullets. "No, No, It's because of this." Reaching into his breast pocket in his suit. He pulled up the news article and slid it to me. it was about our descent obviously. The god of death and the god of life. Is that what she will be known as? "Before you come back, Selner had created an uproar with her prophecy. Back when you disappeared she wasn't such a powerful fortune-teller but after coming into contact with our world her life changed."
"Are you saying my existence has brought about this change? Let's talk another time then?"
I've fulfilled my purpose. Now it's time to rest. I closed my eyes as the ruler left the shop. A sudden strong aura surged past the shop. Looking out the tall window to find (h/l) (h/c) hair. A short structure and a youthful appearance. This familiar aura that went by had to of been you. Dashing to the door but your aura disappeared and vanished into the busy streets.
Right, when I begin to question myself you always appeared. Is this your way of telling me to stay? Fine. I'll find new reasons as to why I should stay. This is what I've decided.
