Boys will be boys, then
Where are the wise men?

I watched the girl stumble in her heels as she made her way out of my bedroom. I rested my head on my pillow wiping the sweat off my brow. She was a pretty good lay. I stood up and pulled on my boxers when someone let out a scream causing my heart to jump a bit. I made my way to the hall quickly to find Maria with her hand over her heart. Her eyes were wide before she seemed to relax a bit.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you. Have a good night," she said her voice slurred and awkward. I couldn't help but let out a little laugh at the sight. She was leaning against the wall as her eyes tried to focus.
"You okay?" I asked and Maria looked at me seemingly surprised that I had made an appearance.
"Just got startled," she slurred walking or more so stumbling to the kitchen.
"Are you drunk?" I laughed. It really was surprising. I had never thought that she would be the type to drink. She seemed like a prude in all sense of the word, but maybe I didn't know as much as I thought.
"I'm tipsy," she replied filling up a glass with sink water. She let out a little giggle as she turned to face me. "We were playing stack cup and I kept losing," she pouted.
I couldn't help but laugh. She was definitely drunk and the idea of her playing a drinking game was just too entertaining to think about. I really didn't think stack cup would be in her vocabulary.
"Why are you laughing at me," she pouted.
"Because you're drunk," I replied.
"Did you have fun with that girl? She was pretty," she slurred.
"Yeah she was a good lay," I replied, and Maria scrunched her nose.
"That's disgusting," she said. "I'm going to bed."
"Night," I replied watching her walk away her hair bouncing with every step.

Maria
I woke up the next morning with a killer headache. The sun hadn't even risen yet, so I got dressed, chugged a glass of water, and went on a run. When I got back, I took my laptop and smoothie and sat on the balcony, so I could do some editing. I was deep into a manuscript when the sound of someone crashing around the kitchen startled me. I was terrified for a moment that someone had broken in but I turned to find a girl sitting on our counter straddling Max. My eyes widened as Max took off her shirt and I turned away quickly my cheeks heating up. I could hear everything through the thin glass door, and I felt so uncomfortable. I couldn't focus on the manuscript with all the screams and moans. This definitely had never happened when I was back home and I had no idea what to do.
My phone rang as I tried to focus on the words in front of me, and I jumped at the sound. I had changed my number as soon as I got to Washington, so I hadn't gotten any messages or calls the entire week. It was kind of relaxing.
"Hello?" I asked leaning back.
"Hey it's Mako, okay this is weird because I'm at the library, so you can just call me Sophie," she said.
"Hi, um my real name is Maria, what's up?" I asked hoping that she couldn't hear the moans coming from the kitchen. God that would just be even more embarrassing.
"I just wanted to remind you that Monday is our general body meeting," she said. "Also I wanted to check on you because you were so drunk last night."
