"I'm sorry but, FUCKING WHAT?!?"
"Wow, Pup, I thought you said you hated yelling?" She said, sarcasm laced with every letter, and I now felt so much sympathy for Nicki before I changed all of our lives, I believe for the better, when I would give her shit or sass.
"I'm going to have an aneurysm, I'm going to need a very blunt translation for both my friends and me, I will not be able to remember half that shit."
"Okay then, Let me break it down to three crucial points," She said, sighing, whether it was at my short-term memory or the fact that I didn't comprehend half of what she said, I'll probably never know, "First off, you'll be officially recognized as my mate to my pack, and the governing body won't create as much of a fuss when I enact an alliance with your family."
"Not necessarily a bad idea, I could definitely think of some uses for having a werewolf patrol. It would also help me get a bit closer to your people if I have to interact with them."
"Which you will, however, you aren't forced into living with me there if you don't wish to."
"Yeah, that was even a fucking option though, I won't leave my family for basically anything."
"Understandable as always; Secondly, you'll be seen as an authority figure within my pack, and as such you have to be a good role model, someone that the people can strive to be like."
"Not. Fucking. Happening. I do my thing how and when I want, I'm not changing that just so that people will have a shortcut or scapegoat for parenting," I said, she didn't like that as easily seen to anyone in the last century, she looked like I just kicked her face, but in a way that she was more shocked or offended than actually in pain.
"That wouldn't be what it was like, we live constantly hunting and killing those who threaten our pack or those we ally with, the soldiers and hunters need someone to look up to as motivation. The kids need someone gentle to guide them, someone they can trust. It doesn't matter if it's a facade, or if you have to imagine it's your family."
"I can treat them like family if I like them, otherwise I'm not the best role model, I'm kind of the symbol of absolute carnage and havoc."
"Use that as motivation! Like you do for your family, a leader they can follow and a soldier they can aim to be like!"
"I thought you were the leader," I said, honestly believing it was a genuine point to make, but apparently, that was a stupid statement based on how she was looking at me, "The way you're describing it makes it sound like you want a leader, and that's you, I can be someone to inspire and protect, but I am fucking ruthless when I pull this shit."
"I understand that hun; and I am the leader, you're just my bitch that is strong enough the kick-ass in an instant. And that brings me to my final point, I'm the alpha amongst my pack, and as such, my mate becomes my wife when we marry. I know that's a while away, but it is something to keep in mind. That combined with you being a massive sub, makes you my bitch, in a loving way of course."
"If you want me, you're gonna have to hunt me down for a while," I said, and she just started chuckling, as like I had made a funny joke, "What's so funny?"
"Of course, my love, I never intended to try and wed you within the first 5 years, let alone the first year. Just keep in mind that it will happen, and you need to be ready for that day."
"That is never gonna fuckin' happen, I am barely ready for a normal day, let alone one with being ready to get married and actually stop having fun, I'd need to start smoking again for that."
"You used to smoke?"
"Yeah, I started smoking cigs but that didn't do anything for me and cigars did jack shit to help me with the pain as I was transforming for the first time, and getting my body adjusted to shifting and moving at light speed. I smoked pot for a couple of years until I got my grip on what I was doing, and then I stopped randomly. I occasionally light one up to celebrate something with Jack but usually, I'm already just doing something more fun."
