Blue Diamond

episode 7

Arthur felt as though he couldn’t hear another word. His mind was all over the place that's been overweight with so much uncertainties. He had just lost someone close to him and was devastated enough. Even though Allison was mean to them she still had a place within Arthur's heart.

Kate was done bandaging Arthur’s wounded arm but Arthur’s anger wasn’t justified, his eyes were filled with tears and anger. For the first time his expressions were visible. He turned the television off with rage, as he threw the cup of coffee half way across the room. This was something that scared Kate, his anger and his pain reflected his anguish that he feels. Both Damon and Kate were worried that this incident would affect him somehow. He silently broke down in tears, since he blamed himself for Allison ’s death.

Kate tried to console him but it was of no use, he just pushed her away. He immediately went outside for some fresh air but he felt as though he needed a break, like time away from everything. Sitting in the porch talking to himself as he wonders

“ Why ...what was the reason? This is all my fault!”

Arthur needed more than just a break, while sitting outside, he felt as though he was being watched. He needed the truth. He felt a presence of something that's lurking in the shadows but he kept ignoring it.

A few days after the incident, all seemed well but the trio didn’t hesitate to continue performing. Arthur on the other hand, had lost his touch. He found himself distracted and frustrated as he tries to forget what happened, yet the memories of the incident replayed in his head like a song you can't forget.

Arthur felt as though he wanted to do something new but that means going home. Maybe some time away from the city, might calm his wondering thoughts.

He wanted to learn a few more tricks, that’s when he decided to take a drive back to where he was originated which was Kansas. Arthur went to visit his close family friend Liam Watson. Like Arthur, Liam was a very ancient magician. He wasn’t very old but had alot of  wrinkled skin and he had a heart of gold. His heart was filled with a genuine amount of kindness. Liam knew things that Arthur was about to learn the hard way.

He once travelled to unknown destinations to find the very base of magic. He was also a great friend to Arthur’s grandfather, Jack. Who thought Arthur everything he needed to know. Liam kept all his grandfather’s  secrets and one of them was indeed a mystery. A small white country side house surrounded by wheat and corn takes Arthur back to where he was born. He stepped out of his vehicle and was greeted by the warm summer breeze, when he noticed Liam sitting comfortably on the porch swing.

Arthur greeted Liam with a warm hug and brought him a basket of his favourite home baked chocolate chip cookies. With a warm hug and a pleasant smile Arthur felt at home; whenever he visited.

Liam was very surprised to see Arthur after such a long time but he was also glad. He noticed Arthur was bothered and disturbed. There was so much pain in Arthur's eyes that brought him to Liam's doorstep.

Something that worried Liam, he took Arthur on a stroll through the wheat fields and they talked about Arthur’s family. There were so many things Arthur couldn’t believe that his family could do and as Liam spoke Arthur seemed interested.

"Its good to see you home after such a long time kid."

Arthur felt at peace as he walked through the calm fields with Liam

"I'm glad to be home it feels good to be back."

The look on Liam's eyes begged for Arthur to stay for he had seen Arthur as a son.
Liam was a very close friend and he figured it was time for Arthur to know a trade family secret. Arthur was curious but he needed to find courage within himself. Once they were back at the house, Liam went into his workshop where he kept a very huge library of books that he brought back from his travels. Arthur was excited yet shocked by the amount of books he kept. One of these books had belonged to Arthur’s grandfather and it was a gift to Liam.
