Madison sat near the fire place with a few books that looked liked journals. These journals had belonged to Arthur’s ancestors. She opened one out of seven journals and had shown it to Arthur. The pages had dust and it appeared to be very old and fragile. It was very similar to the one Liam had gifted Arthur on his birthday. Arthur took his time as he sort through the pages and saw pictures of the black metallic cards and what they were. Arthur had finally understood the meaning of the blue glow and its powerful source of magic. Madison mentioned to Arthur that he wasn’t the only one looking for the cards.
Arthur lifted his head upon hearing those words. The look of fear filled Arthur’s eyes as he listens to Madison as she spoke
“Arthur, this journey will only get more difficult. You must trust yourself.”
Arthur needed to know why the cards were so important and who was looking for them. He decided to question Madison.
“Aunt Madison, who is after the cards? Why are they so important?”
She knew Arthur wasn’t ready, she decided to give him clues as to where he would find his answers. She also mentioned that he third card was missing from its natural location, which was the temple of the dragons.
The night ended and as the sun raised, Arthur had more questions than he came with. His mind was confused and he was lost. Madison decided to take him to the temple of the dragons where the third card was stolen from.
The walls of the temple were burnt as though fire had covered them. The dull concrete and dust reflected that something terrible had happened here. Arthur dragged his finger on the ground and saw the black embers on his fingers and he in his head he heard the screams of a young girl. He suddenly opened his eyes only to find himself in an illusion. He looked around and saw the how beautiful the temple was and images of a young girl trapped inside the card.
Madison pulled Arthur out of the illusion as she brought him back to reality. Arthur was stunned by her magic, for he didn’t know that Madison was also a very skilled magician.
Arthur needed help to find the card of the clubs and the only way to do so was to seek the help of his ancestors. Madison was expecting Arthur to understand the reason of this journey and why it was important; for she knew one day he would come.
Arthur's eyes were confused and filled with questions, as to how he would seek help from his dead ancestors. Madison sensed a deep negativity within Arthur, a fear that held him down. Ever since Arthur's parents died he had lost confidence in himself. Madison told him that the answers he seeks were in his head. Yet again, Arthur was completely uncertain of what she meant. He didn't know how to solve his Aunt's ridiculous riddles. Madison continued to say that he needed to remember where he came from. Arthur finally agreed, he took the journals and decides to read through them. His ancient family members were a long line of great magicians, all he needed to do was to follow in their footsteps.
Madison told him soon enough it would all make sense but he needed to try. Arthur took her words into consideration and decided to tell the others what his aunt had just mentioned to him. Meanwhile, Jake and Damon were enjoying a game of chest when Arthur enters the room after the long conversation with his aunt. Damon noticed Arthur had seemed disturbed so he decided to had a word with him. However, Jake decided to ask Arthur about the off course route. Arthur was being sarcastic when he said
"Its just some minor issues I need to take care of first."
Jake knew something was wrong with Arthur, but he just wanted to confirm his suspicion. Jake was skeptical but he knew Arthur was serious about the promise they all made but he also thought to himself Arthur was hiding how he really feels . Arthur never told the Rivera’s anything about Allyson but it was going to affect him very soon. This was something he wasn't prepared for. Damon saw the look on Arthur’s face and decided to ask
“Hey bro, what’s going on?”
Arthur gave Damon a concern look and it worried Damon for a second as Arthur went on to say
“Do you miss your parents?”
with a heavy heart Damon took a deep breath and said
“I never knew my parents but yes I do. What’s this about?”
Arthur didn’t wish to speak to anyone so he told Damon he needed a moment to be alone. Damon was worried by Arthur’s depressed appearance but he knew something was wrong. Even Jake was a bit concerned as to why would Arthur ask such questions
They all sat around a campfire which seemed relaxing at the moment but it also brought the silence. Arthur walked outside with a mind full of regrets.
They all had memories they wanted to forget but couldn’t. Everyone’s attention fell on Arthur as he sat on the grass outside alone. He wanted to express his feelings but wasn’t sure how. He decided to share the moment that hurts him the most. He felt as though he couldn't hide it anymore. As he spoke, his voice slowly breaks down, his tone was soft and shallow, his tears began to pour slowly as it reflected his pain and grief. Arthur went on to say
"My dad used to tell me stories about the cards and now I'm out here trying to find it, I don't know why I'm here?"
They all sat quietly and felt his pain, his eyes were filled with tears, as he misses his parents deeply but only Jake had the guts to speak up, he felt as though he needed to be there for him. Jake went on to say,
"Arthur I don't know what you must have went through but what I do know it's that you have given us hope."
