Episode 25

“Arthur. Bro, you need sleep man. You’ve been up all night. Why don’t you get some rest and we’ll figure it out later ok.”

Arthur didn’t hesitate, but he was really tired so he decided to get some rest.

“Yeah. I guess you’re right. I’ll catch up later.”

Both Damon and Jake looked at each other and had the same thought. They felt as though Arthur was becoming to obsessed with finding the cards that he forget what having fun was like. Akira and Kiara both decided to ask Kate to help prepare lunch maybe this will give them the chance to bond as girls. Meanwhile Damon sat on the porch wondering why was Arthur so obsessed with cards it must be important for the trip.

Crazy as Arthur sounds Damon felt like it meant something more to him. Yet Arthur was a very difficult person when it comes to sharing emotions. Akira noticed Damon sitting alone lost in thought and she decided to sit with him.

“Hey you. What are you doing out here alone?”

Said Akira as she chuckled a bit, Damon pleasantly smile and bent his head and then looked at her. As their eyes connected he said

“I’m worried about Arthur. This was supposed to be a fun trip. Something away from all the drama back home.”

Akira then said something that Damon took into consideration,

“You know sometimes, things happen because there’s a reason for it. Life happens in the most unexpected ways and sometimes it brings the best moments.”

Damon looked at Akira and felt his heart beating faster than usual, he felt different and his hands had became nervous as he looked at her lips while she speaks. He felt as though he wanted to kiss her. He then said

“That’s  true, moments like this I won’t ever forget.”

Damon stood up and went inside leaving Akira smiling on the porch stairs. Jake noticed the chemistry between them and smiled as he shakes him head. He thought to himself that one day he would find someone to connect with.

Later that evening, Arthur woke up terrified, after having a nightmare. He heat made the sweat dripped down his face and felt as though he needed a shower, he went to the bathroom and opened the shower  faucet. The cold water fell from his head came running down his body. Arthur placed both his hands on the bathroom walls trying to forget the horrible images in his head. Just then, he felt warm hands around him. Hugging him tightly, Kate placed her face on Arthur’s back and allowed the water to fall on her. Arthur turned around and placed his hands on her neck and gently kissed her.

He felt like he needed quality time with Kate. She kissed him back and removed her clothes as Arthur pushes her against the wall.

Meanwhile, Kiara was outside when she noticed Madison needed help with a pitcher of water. Kiara was a pure soul and her eyes spoke beauty and truth. Madison saw Kiara’s faith right through her eyes and smile as she looked at Kiara she also noticed Kiara was a bit bothered.

“Are you okay my dear?”

Kiara smiled as though nothing was wrong but deep in her mind she felt though she was causing a problem for Kate. she then said

“I’m fine miss Paisley. There you go the water is all filled up.”

Madison knew Kiara was hurt but she still went on to say

“My dear, whatever’s bothering you isn’t your fault. You did nothing wrong.”

Kiara lifted her head and her smile disappeared as she wondered how did Madison knew what was going through her mind. Kiara smiled and walked back to the guest house feeling awkward but she knew Madison was right.

Shortly after, Kate and Arthur both emerged from the room together and as Kiara walked in she bumped into Arthur who was only wearing a pair of Jeans at the moment. She looked at him and walked away. Kate took the opportunity to apologize to Kiara for being mean and jealous. Shortly afterwards, Everyone sat at the dinner table having dinner when Arthur started to explain his theory and who they were up against. This worried them for they didn’t know they had enemies.

Being a militant, this came as a challenge for Jake so he decided to train them with self-defense skills. Arthur had an insane idea to mix the magic with physical skills. It was just a theory but they had confidence that it would work.

Early the next morning,  as they were working together they followed everything Arthur was doing. Step by step they trained hard. They were hell bent on training.

They spent hours of training and decided to get some food. Kate and Akira both went inside to get some snacks for everyone. Meanwhile outside Kiara and the boys laughed and talked about Jake’s soft spot for animals. Jake laughed and decided to get a bottle of water when he accidentally bumped into Kate. He smiled at her and reached for the water that was behind her. Arthur happened to see how close they were standing together and he thought nothing of it, but it somehow bothered him. Akira took the snacks outside when she noticed Arthur a bit bothered.

Kate noticed Arthur was a bit disturbed but she thought nothing of it. Hours turned into long days and finally they were getting better. Akira had start to notice how close Jake and Kate had become. It’s been a week since they arrived at Millstone, and Kate and Jake were spending a lot of time together while Arthur was busy with training and practicing his magic.

Arthur trusted Kate so much he didn’t think Kate would betray his love. Even Damon noticed how Kate’s behavior had changed. Akira decided to confront her, after she witnessed Jake kissed Kate.

“Hey Kate. You seemed really happy.”

Kate had butterflies in her stomach as she spoke about her kiss with Jake.

“I’m great but you won’t believe what happened. Jake kissed me!. I think he likes me.”

Akira was surprised she even mentioned the kiss so she decided to question her about Arthur.

“Kate won’t this hurt Arthur? You love him don’t you?”

Kate realized she slipped by telling Akira and she begged her not to say a word to Arthur about the kiss.

“Akira. I do love him but this will hurt him can you keep this a secret between us?”

Akira hesitated because she knew if Arthur find out there will be problems. She was very disappointed in Kate for she had no remorse of how Arthur would feel. Unknowingly Kiara overheard their conversation and she realized what her brother was doing was wrong.

The next day, Akira sat on the door step bothered as Kate’s words replayed in her mind like a song. Damon who was just leaving for his daily morning run, noticed Akira disturbed so he decided to ask her what was wrong. Akira explained everything to Damon. He got disappointed and angry at the same time. He immediately went to the kitchen and confronted Kate. They both argued about the situation and Damon slammed a cup on the kitchen island that woke up Arthur who was asleep. Kate saw Akira standing behind Damon and realized she told Damon about the kiss. Kate immediately got furious and started arguing with Akira.

Damon began to defend Akira and found it rather unfair that Kate would treat Akira that way. Kate blamed Akira for her mistakes and this annoyed Damon. Akira began to cry and ran outside,  annoyed as Damon  was he left the kitchen. He followed Akira outside onto the porch and decided comfort her. He wipes her tears and apologizes for his sister’s mean behavior. He made her feel special by saying it was  ok and that he will always be there for her. Akira never felt so loved before and she thought to herself that she was standing in front of someone who loves her .
