Being a militant, Jake saw a way of setting them free, but they had to work together in order for his plan to work.
This was the perfect opportunity for Jake to start trusting Arthur. He looked around and noticed the ropes were tied to a near by tree. His only way to help was cutting the main rope.
Just then, a group of indigenous people came out of the bushes. Covered in grass like clothing with strange tattooed markings on their body and faces. They were covered with wooden masks and they had pierces in their noses and ears.
They looked like a tribe and Arthur realised they had reached their destination. They spoke in an unknown language. Confused, scared and worried, Arthur tried communicating with them. The oldest member in the group understood Arthur, for he spoke English very well.
He had fear in his voice, as if he was afraid of the civilized world. Arthur convinced him that they were not here to hurt him but to find something. He looked into Arthur’s eyes and sense a pure soul. One of which he never saw in a very long time. For he knew that Arthur’s journey was indeed important.
The old man trusted Arthur's words and decided to set them free. Damon being silly and dramatic, he kisses the muddy ground of the forest and said,
“yes the ground!”
The old tribe member, took Arthur's hand and help him off the ground as he introduces himself as chief Sabah.
Sabah noticed it was getting dark, so he offered a safe haven for them to stay for the night. He took them back to the tribe's village. Their houses were made from the very branches of the forest, the cedar trees and straw created beautiful little huts. They blended into nature and its natural elements were just breath taking.
Arthur and his friends were given a small hut to rest. Arthur decided to have a word with Sabah. Arthur showed him all the reasons he was here; As he explains the reason of his visit, Sabah thought to himself that Arthur was very genuine.
Meanwhile, the others made themselves comfortable but they were stuck together, in a very intense atmosphere. Jake didn't trust the tribe people for they had tried hurt them. He felt very restless. His instincts were just itching him to leave, but his heart trusted Arthur.
Arthur spoke to Chief Sabah about the card he seeks and the look of fear filled chief Sabah eyes.
"The card of which you seek, is indeed dangerous."
Sabah spoke softly as he explained. Arthur paid close attention but still felt like the card was misjudged like the first. Sabah warned Arthur about this card and Arthur responded with a careless remark
"I'm sure its nothing we can not handle."
Arthur underestimated the power of Chief Sabah's words and ignored his warning for he didn't believe it was dangerous just misunderstood.
Arthur returns to the hut and everyone was fast asleep, except for Kate. She noticed Arthur got hurt during their abduction. She began to think that Arthur may get hurt trying to help others. As she dresses his grazed arm, she asked
“Hey are you ok? You seem quiet.”
Arthur looked at Kate with the love in his eyes and for second, he felt as though he saw Kiara. He pulled his arm back and the reality around him faded. Kate got worried since Arthur looked disturbed. He then responded
"Yeah. I'm fine. I swore I just saw someone else."
Confused kate looked around and saw everyone asleep. In curiosity she asked
"Whom did you see Arthur?"
Arthur nodded and just felt it was better to drop the situation. But in his mind he knew he saw Kiara.
