Bridgette's POV (y'all I'm tryna change be proud)

"Get back!"

We flattened our bodies against the wall and slowed our breathing as a flurry of footsteps sounded right next to us. While we were in an unlit corridor, we couldn't just rely on the shadows to protect us. I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding in, and we continued down the damp passageway.

It was pretty much everything you'd expect for a creepy passageway- damp, cramped, and apart from the occasional dim lamp, dark. I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding

Felix sighed. "Well, say something, guys!"

Marinette huffed. "Is that really the best idea, when we're trying to escape _without drawing attention to ourselves_?"

"Hey, sorry, I'm just trying to lighten up the mood!" He waited a second before adding: "You're just grumpy because my cousin isn't here."

Oh no, he was done for.

My sister rounded on him, a furious blaze in her eyes. "Am not!"

"Am too."

"Am not!"

"Am too."

"Am not!"

"Am too."

"Am not!"

"Am too."

"Am not!"

"Am not."

"Am too!"

Marinette took a second to process what she'd just said. Then: "Hey, you tricked me!"

Felix plastered a look of innocence on his face. "Wh-What? No way! I did no such thing! I simply-" He didn't get far before bursting out in laughter. "Oh my god, for a superhero you're pretty gullible, you know?"

Marinette clenched her fist, then relaxed, and smirked.

Oh crap- what was she up to?

My eyes widened in surprise when she stopped in her tracks, put her hands on her hips and responded with, "Honestly, Felix, it isn't even a secret anymore."

Felix raised his eyebrows. "What are you on about now, Ladybug?"

"Your crush on Bridgette, duh! You love her so much it isn't even a secret anymore."

"MARINETTE!" He turned bright red as I stood there in shock.

"Well, then again, I also don't see what my sister sees in you. I swear, if she wasn't so in love with you-"

"MARINETTE!" I squealed, clamping a hand over her mouth as it was now my turn to become a tomato.

She smirked again, moving my hand off her face and resuming her pace, not even noticing that she'd left us behind shell-shocked.

We stood standing there for what felt like an eternity. I shuffled my feet anxiously as he played with his fingers. We both avoided eye contact. Finally, I decided to break the awkward silence. "For...how long?"

Felix looked at me, his cheeks still tinted pink. "How long w-what?"

I looked down at my shoes. "How long have you...you know...loved me... gosh dang you Marinette, why?!"

He tensed up, eyes darting around the cramped hallway. "I...I d-don't-"

I put a hand on his shoulder, and he immediately relaxed. "Felix. You can tell me. There's no point in hiding it anyway, since Marinette went and," I gestured vaguely with my hands, "dropped that bomb on us."
