A/N: HAHA I HAVE NO LIFE SO WHY NOT TRY TO UPDATE???

LET'S GET THIS! THIS IS THE REACTION TO MARINETTE'S LETTERS! There's a bit of friendship with Alya and Adrien in the beginning because not many people focus on their relationship, y'know?

I LOVED WRITING THISSSS!

~

Adrien's POV

Someone grabbed my shoulders, snapping me out of my dreamless sleep. Nino, his eyes, red and puffy, hands gripping my shoulders tightly. "Dude, wake up."

I slowly opened my eyes. I checked my phone. It read 5:00 am.

Blinking them blearily, I asked, "What's so important it couldn't wait until- Alya!" I sprinted to the other side of the room. Alya was curled up in her sheets, sobbing into her pillow. She was shaking uncontrollably, one of her fists curled up into a ball. I noticed a sliver of paper sticking out of her clenched hand.

"Nino, what's that?"

"I dunno dude," he shook his head worriedly, "she hasn't let me near her."

I decided I needed to know what it said. I slowly approached her, reaching for a hug. She looked up at me, then buried herself under her duvet, refusing to meet my gaze. Not relenting, I gently peeled the covers off her hiccuping figure, and this time I pulled her straight into a hug. She stiffened up at first, but then she slumped against me. "I..I-"

"Alya," I softly asked, "Can I see that piece of paper in your hand?"

She unclasped her clenched fist and handed me the wrinkled paper. She spoke so softly I almost missed what she said, "You have some too."

I nodded and smoothed out the paper. It read-

Dear Alya,

God, where do I even start? You've been my best friend since, well, forever! I'm not sure if you've read someone else's note, but even if you have, keep reading please. By the time you've finished reading this, I'll be long gone. I've got some important things to take care of and I'm afraid that they can't involve you- or anyone else, for that matter. Don't try to follow me or track me, I've done everything necessary- like deleting my tracking app, changing my passwords, putting up more security shields- to prevent this changing from a solo quest. I have to save my father, he's on the verge of dying. Ask mama for more information. I swear on my life (not like that's going to matter anyway) that I wrote this of my own accord, I haven't been kidnapped or anything. That was why I wanted to take you guys everywhere today, why I paid for that expensive dinner even though you said not to, why I asked for that final selfie. Please read the other letters; except for the one labelled Chat Noir, please give it to him. In time, he might tell you about the secret I've been hiding for a while now. I warned Nino about breaking your heart, but the same goes for you- if you hurt him, I'll hurt you :)

Love you so much bff,
Marinette xx

My heart shattered. The world was spinning. I couldn't think straight. Two words ran through my head on repeat.

Marinette's gone.
Marinette's gone.

I could only see red. I sped to the other side of the room. Nino was there, his open letter beside him, his head buried in his knees, arms trembling. I swiped up the letter and shakily skimmed through it.

Dear Nino,

Hey Nino. Maybe you've read someone else's note, I don't know. But I do know that by the time you've read this, I'll be long gone. Well, you've probably noticed I'm missing. I have some important business to take care of. This note wasn't forced, in case you were wondering. I haven't been kidnapped or anything. I left of my own accord; what I have to do can't wait. That's why I took you guys everywhere today- I wanted to spend this last day with you guys. My father's life is hanging in the balance, and it's up to me to restore it. Alone. Don't try to follow me, I've deleted my tracking app and changed all my passwords and stuff so no one can try to hack into my phone or find me. Please stay safe. You were like a brother to me. And don't even think about breaking Alya's heart because if I could, I'd come back and tear yours into a million pieces :) Before you go, there's something I've been hiding from you three for a very long time. If Chat Noir received his letter, he might tell you what it is.
