Marinette's POV
As I was walking to the school l spotted Alya and the boys waiting on the steps. Alya was the first one to notice me and came skipping up to me with snacks in her hands. I just knew I would gain weight during this trip. From what I was told, I wore the biggest smile on my face. Apparently, I was really well-dressed that day too, because Alya's first words were, "All dressed up for Adrien, I see!" I began to blush furiously.
At that moment, Adrien and Nino came over. Adrien was also blushing a deep red as if he had heard it. But he couldn't have possibly heard that! We were all the way over here! Unless he has cat-like hearing, it's impossible.
There was an awkward silence until Ms Bustier called for everyone to line up.
"Listen up class! Once we get onto the coach you will start looking for your name. Your name is placed on the headrest of the seat and you will sit there and buckle up ready. If you're not next to the window you are more than welcome to swap with your partner if you both wish to. Snacks are allowed but since it's just an hour, not many are needed. There will be NO arguing over where you are sat it is boy-girl and whoever you are sitting next to is your partner on the plane. Do I make myself clear?"
"YES, MISS BUSTIER!" everyone screamed in unison.
I almost fell asleep during that little speech but was lucky enough to hear the important notes.
"Ok good, now put your luggage into the boot and go find your seats." And with that, everyone was chucking their luggage haphazardly into the boot. Since I was extremely fast at running (despite my short legs) and quite strong, I was able to chuck my suitcases into the boot from the back of the crowd and run to the coach. I was the first one to get on so I had time to find my seat. Then I found out my seat was right behind Alya, fortunately. Ooh- she was sitting by Nino!
MY SHIP!!!
I put my luggage under my chair and got comfy. I saw Alya rushing to her place but stopped dead when she saw me. She gasped and exclaimed, "How did small Marinette get here so fast? From what I saw, you were at the back of the crowd!" l smirked at her. "I guess my adrenaline kicked in."
She put her bag down, sat in her seat and turned around. "That doesn't make sense but that's normal. Anyways, the person who has the privilege to sit next to me," I stifled a laugh, "is- "
She stopped mid-sentence with wide eyes. "NO WAY!" Ok, no lie- I was concerned. "What?! What is it?!" l asked, turning around to see what happened. But no one was on the bus yet.
What? Now I was confused.
I turned back around to see what Alya was looking at. I followed her eyes until my gaze landed on the name tag on the seat beside me.
"ADRIEN AGRESTE?!" I shouted, a bit too loudly. I noticed Adrien walking down the bus aisle towards us. "Did someone murder me?" He chuckled jokingly.
I slid down my seat. "END ME NOWWWWW!"
Alya just plain out laughed. "No can do. I want to share a cabin with you and tell you what goes on with Nino and I know Agreste here is not going to know anything about that."
Adrien snapped his head and retorted" HEY! I bet I know how to handle lovey-dovey stuff better than you do, Mrs Lahiffe."
By the time he was finished, I was bursting out laughing. "Mrs Lahiffe OMGGG!" I was clutching onto my stomach, doubled over with breathless laughter.
