Chapter Twenty-One
“Seriously, why did you kiss me?”
“Seriously, why did you kiss me back?”
And yes, I didn't stopped myself from rolling my eyeballs at itong isang 'to ay parang natutuwa pa.
“Kailan mo ba ako sineseryoso, Ryden?”
Because of my tone, nawala ang kaninang multo ng ngiti sa kaniyang labi at natahimik ito. He loosened up a bit and I even saw him shifted his gaze and how he licked his own lips as if he doesn't know what to do. Seriously? Why did I even fall for him?
“Okay, sorry about that.” His voice softened.
“About the kiss?”
“No! I mean, about me teasing you.” He paused. “Gusto ko lang na nakikita kitang naaasar. You're so cute when you're pissed off, Aye.
I managed myself not to be distracted. He's basically saying that I'm actually a short-tempered type of woman. Well, I don't care. He must deal with it.
He suggested me a book a while ago and I also chose a book, iyong enemies-to-lovers trope. It still has a huge space there.
“Aye, I'm sorry.”
“And then? I just want to say sorry.”
“Hindi nga ako galit.”
“You're lying. I know you are.”
“Gusto mo pagalitan nalang talaga kita? Get off your hands off me! May CCTV!” mahina kong singhal rito.
“Tsk. Paano kung makita tayo ni Daddy? And, my goodness, a lot of employees here knows who I am and I would never get shock kung may makakaabot man na balita kay Dad bukas na bukas na may kaharutan ang anak niya habang pumipila sa counter.”
He chuckled at my back ngunit mahina lamang iyon. “Okay, fine. Let's just talk later, hmm?”
It just contains three books.
I was busy checking my phone while we're walking. Nang makadaan kami sa isang wall na may salamin, I decided to stop by to check on how do I look.
“You look gorgeous, Aye.”
I sighed.
