Chapter Twenty-Six

“Ang harot mo.” Pabiro ko siyang inirapan but he just chuckled it away.

We went silent for a bit. Nasa harapan ko pa rin naman siya but I am looking at somewhere else. Damn, parang muntikan na kaming hindi makapagpigil doon, ah. I secretly shook my head. I better control myself the next time. Baka kung saan pa kami makarating sa kapusukan namin.

“Gusto mo ba ng isa pa?”

Halos mabilaukan ako sa sarili kong laway sa kaniyang sinabi. What the hell?!

“Huh? Magtigil ka nga, baka mahuli pa tayo ng librarian.”

He chuckled. “Fine. By the way, I want to say something to you.”

"Ano iyon?"

"Ipapakilala kita sa mga magulang ko."

And then suddenly, bigla akong nakaramdam ng kaba. Oh right, we've been dating for quite months now and Ma'am Dara and Ryla is still the people I know that's related to him. I was lost in my words. I know it takes time to be get prepared in those kind of occasion but I realized, I also want to do it now. Lalo na't Mom has been bringing up Ryden's dad which is I don't even know why.

We were more focused nung isang linggo ang nakaraan matapos nuon. Malapit na rin kasi mag-end ang second semester kaya mas focus na kaming dalawa pareho sa acads. Pero ganoon pa rin naman ang takbo sa amin ni Ryden dahil palagi siyang pumupunta sa SLP para makita ako. Napaisip tuloy ako na baka nahuli na kami ng mga tauhan ni Dad dahil halos araw-araw na kaming nagkikita.

"Kinakabahan ako Ryden, paano kung hindi nila ako magustuhan?" nag-alalang tanong ko. Naglalakad na kami patungo roon sa kanila.

It was even doesn't seem like a heavy neighborhood. Ngayon lang kasi ako nakapunta rito eh dahil nung una ay napaka-strict naman sa akin ni Mommy.

"Don't worry, kilala ka naman na nila eh. Lalo na si ate Dara at Ryla." Hinablot niya ang kamay ko.

I just hope it will go well. Especially that I'm not really a good conversationalist type of a person. Bumuntong-hininga ako, Ryden is with me so I shouldn't worry a thing.

Ryden held my hand and I followed his steps.

When we finally get there, my mouth opened in awe because of the house that welcomed my sight. It wasn't that big but it has a nice structure. It was even designed modernly. Ryden opened the gate for us at pagkatapos noon ay bumalik na naman ang aking atensyon sa kanilang kapaligiran. The lawn was cleaned neatly. Even the bushes were perfectly trimmed. I can only see a clean lawn with a lot of flowers around.

"Ma, Pa,” when we finally entered the entrance ay pumasok agad kami.

The interior was even nicer. Sobrang liwanag ng paligid nito at as expected, sobrang linis at simple lang. Come to think of it, it almost has the same vibes of Arin's house.

Umupo kami ni Ryden ng sabay doon sa may couch at bumaba mula sa hagdan si Miss Dara habang buhat-buhat si Ryla. May kasama din siyang lalaki sa likod niya at sa pagka-alala ko ay ang asawa niya iyon.

"Uy Ryden iyan na ba iyon?" Naroon lamang sa sofa ang Papa niya kaya nakita agad kami. Nagmano si Ryden dito, ganoon din ang ginawa ko. 

Oh, he must be the Yzrael Saldivar. He's kinda familiar. Kung totoo man na magkakilala talaga sila. As I observe him, he has a lot of resemblance to Ryden. They almost has the same features. Matangkad rin ito katulad niya. This guy must be one of the heartthrob in his year. Kung totoo man iyong mga sinabi ni Mommy, no doubt the she had fallen for him. Pero siyempre mas pogi pa rin si Dad.
