I sat in an unused room at school with Betty and several other girls. Betty had asked around if that what happened to Veronica happened to anyone else. As Ethel was about to start talking about it, Veronica finally came through the door. She looked confused around the room and then looked at Betty. "This story is bigger than we thought." Started Betty. "Betty asked around to see if what happened to you happened to anyone else and if anyone would go on record."
"I will. One hundred percent." Ethel stated. "Okay!" Betty said to Ethel and then turned back to Veronica. "It's five guys on the football team, Chuck and his pose. Ethel was just about to tell us." Ethel started talking. "One day last year, Chuck and I talked in the library for 10 minutes. I helped him wirh a pre-calc problem, and nothing happened. But the next day, he started telling people that I let him do stuff to me. Like, sex stuff. And then he or one of his goons wrote 'Sloppy Seconds' on my locker." I could still remember it and I feel bad that I believed Chuck back then.
"Yes, Yes, we've all heard your tragic origin story." Cheryl said, who appeared in the doorway. "I'm so sorry, Ethel." said Betty to comfort Ethel. "Not as horrible as being a suspect in your own brother's torture-murder case but we all have our crosses." I put my head in my hands and sighed, can someone get me out of here. "In the meantime, River Vixen practice starts in five minutes, sluts." "They're ruining our lives, and to them, it's just a game." Ethel said with tears. "They keep score and--" "Wait!" Veronica and I said at the same time, that was new to me. "What do you mean, keep score?" Veronica asked her. "Each conquest earns them points. They keep track in some secret playbook." Veronica looked at Ethel in shock.
"Okay, we have to talk to Weatherbee." Betty stated. "I already tried. Weatherbee said that he didn't find anything." "Okay we need undeniable proof." "Proof of what, Nancy Drew?" I looked at Cheryl in surprise, she was still in the doorway. "That boys will be boys? And that playbook reeks of suburban legend." Veronica turned to Cheryl. "How would you know, Cheryl?"
"Because, Frida Shallow, before he died my brother was co-captain of the football team with Chuck. And Jason never mentioned it. And he never would've allowed it." Cheryl stated. "Okay, well, I never met your brother, but I'm not lying about what happened to me and Ethel's not lying. And proof or no proof, book or no book I am going scorched earth on these privileged, despicable miscreants. You wanna get caught in that back draft, Cheryl call me or any of thes beautiful, young, strong, intelliegent women 'slut' one more time." As she talked she approached Cheryl. Before that could escalate any further, I left the room and made my way home, I wasn't in the mood for River Vixen training. When I got home, I put on something cozy clothes and lay down on my bed. I slowly dozed off.

A couple of hours had passed by the time I woke up this morning. I was hungry, so I decided to go to Pop's. I put on a black jeans shorts and a sweater that belongs to Reg. I took my headphones and my cell phone, which I luckily had charged. I went to Pop's on my skateboard and sat down there. I ordered a milkshake and then unpacked my computer.
A few tables away was one of Dilton's boy scouts. When his father stood up Jughead suddenly sat down infront of him. Jug stole the cherry from his ice cream and then started talking to him. During the conversation, Jug pulled the ice cream over to him and began to eat it. Before his father came back to him, Jug left the boy. When he saw me sitting in front of my computer, he sat down next to me.
"Jug, why are you stealing ice cream from a child?" He stole my milkshake too and drank from it. "I questioned Doiley about what happened on July 4th and the shot. And the boy reacted weird when Doiley said he had no idea who shot." I stole my milkshake back, where upon Jug looked at me indignantly. "And what did he say?" "That the mysterious shot was shot by Dilton on July 4th. He showed them how to shoot and said something like, 'If you don't protect yourself, nobody will'."
The shooter of the mysterious shot was Dilton. "Ok, that's surprising, but somehow not. The guy was always weird." Jughead made an approving face and then said Goodbye. He had to go home. After Jug left, I sat there until midnight, working on my homework.
