Akira
.........Light flashes on our face as soon we climb out, scaring the crap out of me. It soon follows by numerous voices filled with questions.
"Mr. King, what do you have say about this big day for King's Industries?"
"Are you taking over now?"
"Is it true that you are throwing Mr Dante out of the company?"
The heck?
"Are you actually taking over Myra's art gallery?"
"Who is your date, Mr king?"
"Are you the infamous Miss Akira Ray?"
What?
"Looking stunning Mam!"
"Your dress looks fabulous!"
Fortunately, we are able to escape them without me doing something embarrassing like fainting or throwing up.
But hold on.
"How do they know me?" I scrunch my face in confusion.
So much for thinking I would just slip in.
Romero stops mid step as if realising something, and then he growls under his breath, "Fucking vultures."
Right.
"And?" I prompt.
He scratches the back of his neck in a rare show of nervousness, "You know how I have habit of working on yachts when I feel alone."
"Yeah?"
"Well, when we were apart I made one then. It has your name engraved, I think that's how they probably know your name."
"Oh."
It makes sense.
But I have no words to describe my feeling.
This man just gives me everything he has and he keeps making me fall for him deeper and deeper.
I don't even know if I deserve it.
"Oh? That's all?" I'm glad that he is amused now, suits him better than the nervous one.
"I don't know what to say. You made it for me when we did not know whether we would get back together. It is all overwhelming."
"First I always knew we would be back together, no matter what. Second you don't have say anything but yes."
"Yes? For what?"
"That you will come to the yacht whenever I tell you."
I smile, and kiss his jaw, "Deal."
"King, my boy!"
Dante.
We swirl around to see him waving us over.
He is standing with two other men and a pretty red head, who could be only couple years older than me. The woman seems to hanging on to his every words as if he has just told the earth is flat, and once again I'm reminded of his players way.
But now I think I understand him a little, even sympathise with him.
As we walk toward them, I look around the grand room. It is decorated with the combination of golden and black, which I think is just perfect match for the King's Industries.
The room is filled with various faces, dressed in fine clothes. Men in all their expensive suits, displaying primal glory, while women draped in peculiar designs, showing their elegance.
