I don't have turn back because he is already doing it for me.

I dare to peek in his eyes, they are on fire alright. They are blazing.

But after the day I have had, I don't want to do this right now. Beside it's not like I lied to him or anything.

The night it happened was the night we had shared our first kiss, followed by me walking into him and Carina and the same night he turned up to my dorm, drunk as hell and the rest is history.

After that I forced myself to forget it and never recall it again. I had almost forgotten about it all because it's what is most easy, that is to block out the things that I'd rather stay in dark.

But isn't it what they say that bad things always hunt us down till they are slayed and put into rest.

"Not now."

"Like hell-"

"Please." I give him a look that probably conveys my state of mind.

He grits his teeth likely to hold himself back and looks away.

Returning my attention to the detective, I exhale, "As I was saying it happened long ago and I had nearly forgotten about it but I remember his words. He said he had been waiting for me for so long. At that time I did not to dwell too much on it and thought he was referring to the party but now I'm not sure."

As I speak I feel tension rising in Romero's body. He is practically vibrating with it. One doesn't need to be a genius to figure out where the thick wave of hostility coming from. Even Detective Matthew gives Rom a wary glance.

"What is the gift?"

The cat.

"I think it's the dead cat. Someone left it on my bed with the note saying they are watching me."

"Why didn't you go to cop?"

"I thought it was some prank and the security police also confirmed it so I didn't think much into it."

I should have!

If I had looked more into it as my gut was screaming that time instead of shutting everything off like a coward I am, today might not have happened.

I'm such an idiot.

If it turns out connected to everything I would never forgive myself.

"Is there anything else that might have found odd? Or do you suspect anyone that you or grandmother have bad relations with?"

"I can't recall anything right now. As for suspect I don't know anybody who would want to hurt grandma. She is good with everyone, even when she's is giving someone hard time. I don't- I just don't know why would someone hurt her deliberately."

Elizabeth Ray is not a sweet woman all the time but she is the type of woman everyone respects and keeps in high regard.

"Hurt you." Detective Cornell speaks for the first time.
