When Marlon woke up, he woke with a new source of energy. He felt more determined than ever to find the people responsible for this horrible crime. He got dressed, went to the bathroom, did his teeth, made coffee and headed out to work. Every minute he spent at home was time wasted that he could be spending finding the criminals. When Marlon reached the station, he greeted Earl. "You're in early this morning", Earl said, looking up from the newspaper. Marlon nodded, "I just woke up with a great amount of motivation", Marlon explained, "Much more progress?". Earl shook his head which disheartened Marlon. "I think we should start interrogating the kids", Marlon said, "I've been thinking. Apart from an unemployed young person, teenagers are the only one's dumb enough to do this and that little prank last night proved it to me". Earl nodded and thought for a minute, "Actually", he began, "I did stumble upon something last night". Marlon was intrigued to see what his partner had found. Earl logged into his computer and logged into Facebook. Marlon watched intently as Earl typed three words into the search bar; East-Brick Satanists. "This fits the combo", Earl said, "Satanism and teenagers". They finally had some progress.
At school, Gabe and his classmates had been dismissed early again due to unforeseen risks. "I have no idea how this is classed as an education", Ross said, sitting with his groups of friends in the trash-ridden park. "I don't even know how that school is still open", Pamela said, taking a sip of her water. Eugene nodded in agreement, "I still can't believe those two dickheads were dumb enough to pull that prank". Gabe laughed at this. "My dad was pissed", Faith said, "You should have seen his face". "I hope they catch whoever did this though", Gabe said, picking at the grass. "Yeah, it is a shame", Ross said, "Four people lost their lives, but I haven't seen this much interest since the Hysterical Dan murders in Weinberg". The whole group nodded in agreement at this as the child killer had come to the area when he was in his teens. "I'm really surprised it hasn't happened again", Eugene said, looking up at the sun. "I guess they don't want to draw attention to themselves", Pamela guessed, making a daisy-chain. "How are James and Jerome coping with their punishments?", Gabe asked. "James is struggling", Faith laughed, "Apparently Jerome has already finished his essay". The group went silent after that. The drama was definitely causing an invisible rift between the friends; Gabe and Eugene hoping that justice is served, James, Jerome, Faith, Pamela, and Ross loving all the news coverage and drama.
