Broken

Marlon and Earl watched as Ross, James, Faith and Landon were all taken away with the other teenagers at the ritual. Gabe had been taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. "Shit man", Earl said, looking at his feet, "What the hell have these teens done?". Marlon looked away, tears in his eyes, "I have to go home", he mumbled out, "I need to tell my wife the horrible news". Earl nodded, "Go ahead then", he said, "I can cover at the police station". Marlon smiled, nodded a thank you and headed in the direction of his house. Marlon got into his car and started to cry; how could his daughter do something this terrible to a human being? He started the car and drove slowly back to his house, he couldn't think of a way to tell Theresa. He passed his turn and just continued straight on. Marlon then did a U-turn and drove up to his turn. He stopped the car and just looked at the black sky. Everything seemed so fucked up. Marlon started the car yet again and he drove up to his driveway. "God, why are you making me do this?", he asked as he parked the car and let the engine die. He slammed his fist on the dashboard and composed himself. Marlon let out one more big sigh before he exited the car and looked at the front door. "Here we go then", Marlon said, opening the door and entering the house. This was it. 

"Faith, is that you?", Theresa called out which broke Marlon's heart even more. "It's me", Marlon called back, his voice cracking as he said it. Marlon walked slowly into the living room where his wife was. Theresa closed the book she was reading and looked at her husband. "Oh my", she said, "Marlon. What happened? Are you okay?". Marlon couldn't answer, he just broke down into tears. "Tell me", Theresa said, "What happened?". Marlon opened his eyes and then shut them tight again. "Its Faith", he began, "She was with the East Brick Satanists". Theresa's jaw dropped. Their little girl had turned into a monster.
