When Gabe reached school, he could feel the atmosphere of the school was different. He saw a lot of posters around and halls, but he didn't have a chance to read any as he was late. Gabe knew something big had happened, he knew Ross was in his first class and decided to try and find out what was up. As Gabe sat down the teacher came in, so Gabe wrote and note asking what was up and passed it to James. A matter of seconds later Ross had a reply. Gabe basically snatched it out of James's hand as his eyes desperately read the contents;
"The cops found a good picture of the suspect and have hung posters up asking if you've seen the suspect".
Gabe couldn't believe it, the cops actually had a lead. It was one more step in the right direction for this whole nightmare to be over with. Gabe actually found himself smiling at this, he just wanted his friend group to be back to normal and not obsessing over this morbid event. This put Gabe in a happier mood. He still had the small smile on his face when class was over and next they had P.E. which Gabe usually hated.
Marlon and Earl spent the morning driving around East-Brick taping up the posters. Once they had found a home for all 250 posters, they headed back to the school in search of the prankster. Marlon entered the school and made a discrete entrance to principal Thomas. "Hello", Conrad said with a small smile on his face, "How may I help you today, detective?". Marlon took out the picture, "I hope you can tell me if you recognize this face", Marlon began, "I believe it is one of the pranksters". Conrad sighed, he took a closer look at the black and white image and cursed. "He just can't keep himself out of trouble", Conrad said rubbing his face, "Yes I recognize him. That is Jerome Waters, he is currently suspended". Marlon nodded, "Would you have an address?", Marlon asked. Conrad nodded, he went over to his computer and got Jerome's profile up. "42 Nodders Peak", Conrad read out. Marlon could cry; They had their first suspect and an address, it was like Christmas Day.
