The only thing that made the world less blue was the beautiful nature, and since I was away from civilization the colors were calm. "Are you going out with Joey?" My dad asked and I nodded. "That boyfriend of yours is a great man" he said and I faked a smile and nodded. The old truck honked outside and I picked up the basket of lunch and walked outside onto that old red Ford truck. Joey was a great guy, he was tall and kind and was a bright yellow. We talked and walked slowly to the area beside the river before sitting down and taking out the food I made. The truth is Joey and I weren't dating, but us pretending we were made everything easier. He has tried to make contact with the blue eyed girl but she had a great burst of fame and was hard to reach. "So New York reminds you of her color?" He asked as he took a bite of his sandwich and I nodded. "We should go, at least for the weekend, I know your 18th birthday is still 6 months away but maybe the city will help you feel her until you can" he said and I smiled brightly. "You should invite James" I said batting my eyes and he smiled and nodded.
After a lot of convincing and begging the two boys and I were on a drive to the city. "If she's dating someone why are you still waiting?" James asked as he leaned on his boyfriends shoulder. "Because no ones color compres to hers" I said and he smiled at me. It was true, the blue eyed girl was dating someone new. The girl she was dating was a beautiful blonde with a perfect complexion and had a bold color of purple that merged with Billies color. It hurt she didn't wait and moved on with her life but I guess that's what happens when you're gone for 5 months. "I know you were hoping she was going to be in New York I'm sorry" James said and I forced a smiled. I looked a bit different, my color of hair was lighter and my features were bolder but my color for her was still the same. The same beautiful blue. The same beautiful blue who lit that dark house up and made the nature intense with beauty. My step siblings were not all that bad but they snitched me out on everything I did. I could not wait to be 18, I could not wait to find her. My color could not wait to be blue again.
