We stared at each other and as the subway passed many tunnels of darkness and flashes of lights the only color I saw was blue. My stop came up and I broke the eye contact and got off the subway and felt myself finally catch a breathe until I heard her voice behind me. "I took all this time to look for you and you aren't even gonna talk to me?" Billie asked, "says the one with the girlfriend" I answered sarcastically and she groaned loudly. "You have no right to talk you were going to get married!" She yelled, "do not bring Daniel into this do not!" I yelled at her and her face softened up. "How do you even know about Danny?" I mumbled, "word gets around" she said running her fingers through her hair, a habit she had when she was overwhelmed. "I'll talk to you just not here" I said and she nodded, we both walked in silence until we reached my apartment. "Nice place" she said admiring it and I thanked her. "Can you just please not mention danny" I asked her and she nodded. "I never stopped looking for you and I don't understand why you ran from me at that book store" she said, "you were with your girlfriend" I said, "she wasn't my girlfriend, at least not then" she said licking her lips and looking at me. "I didn't know that, I had the right to be upset, I waited for so long for you to come and save me and your white car never came" I mumbled and she sat next to me. "I'm sorry" she mumbled, "it's been so long, you're so different" she said admiring me and I smiled. "You are too" i said, we caught up for a while until the light started to dim and she was getting ready to leave. "Why were you going to marry him?" She whispered in an almost painful tone. "If you knew him you would've know" I said. "So tell me about him, I have time" she said sitting back down and I gave in and laid down. "Can we start off by what color he was because if it's prettier then mine we're gonna have a issue" she mumbled and I laughed.
