"I apologize for not paying attention," the man says as he turns his smile into something more comforting to you, "I must have been distracted by your beauty."

Although you know he's clearly lying since he didn't even notice you, a small grin forms on your face.

"Are you alright?" he then asks as you don't respond.

"Oh, I'm fine," you say as you wave a hand towards him, "please don't worry about me."

You continue to watch his handsome face as he gives you a slight pout and shrugs.

"Well alright then, have a nice day," he says before walking behind you.

Dammit Y/N, you came out here to get your lunch but you could barely keep yourself together when a whole meal crosses right in front of your face.

You shake your head and take a step towards your car, however, something compels you to turn around to check on the stranger.

When you look behind you, not a soul is in sight. The man is already gone.

I didn't imagine that, right?

After your lunch break, you head back to your station and unlock your computer.

"I can help the next customer," you say as you look into the line of people before you.

You find yourself subconsciously scanning the group of customers. Hoping to maybe find the stranger from before. However, you remind yourself that your little excursion outside was about an hour ago so there's no way the man would still be around.

"Oi," the customer calls to you as he sees you zoning out, "put this on my card will ya?"

You nod and count the cash of the customer before you.

"And how much do you have here?" you ask to double-check with your math since they handed you a lot.

"220 000 yen," they reply.

No fair. I want 220 000 yen...

"Got it," you smile to the now-annoyed customer, "just a moment please."

Once you finish the transaction, you hand the customer back their card.

"Thank you for coming. Have a nice day," you repeat to the customer as you do to each one.

"You too," he groans as he taps the card against your counter.

Only four hours left, Y/N, you got this... Man if only I could fake an injury and go home.

"Nex customer," you say in a somewhat bored tone.

You look over to your computer to watch the time slowly go by until you hear your next customer call out to you.
