When I arrived at school, my eyes were immediately drawn to Emily who was sat by herself on the nearby bench, with her head in her hands. I rushed over to her because I knew something was upsetting her and I needed to know what.

"Hey Em," I said sitting down on the bench next to her, "What's the matter?"

"It's nothing honestly..." She said trailing off.

"Look, Em, you can tell me anything. Was it your parents arguing again?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"No..." She said, I raised my eyebrows again, "Maybe."

"I know it's hard right now; you've just come out to your parents and that's a huge thing to do! Of course they're not going to take it as well as the girls and I, but I'm sure they will come round. In the mean time, you just concentrate on being you - the Emily that we all know and love. Please don't be sad," I said with a pouty face, putting my arm round her.

"I know and thank you for being so supportive of everything. If I didn't have you and the girls I would be a total mess right now. It's just so hard I mean, I barely have a normal life right now as it is as it wasn't long since Alison's burial and not to mention all of this A crap going on the last thing I need is more problems at home." She said with a sigh.

"Don't worry. I'm here for you, Em. We all are." I said giving her a hug.

"Thanks, Aria. It means a lot," Emily replied with a smile.

"I hate to ruin the moment, but I really need to know - have you received any messages from A recently?" I asked with a whisper.

"No, come to think of it I haven't, have you?"

"Not at all, how weird," I said with a frown.

"Maybe they are still thinking about and planning their next move." Emily suggested.

"Ugh, you are probably right and I don't even want to think about that," I said standing up from the bench, "Let's go find Hanna and Spence, they will be looking for us."

We got up and walked to the main gates to find Spencer and Hanna waiting for us, just as I predicted.

"All good?" Spencer asked as she looked at both me and Emily. I looked back at Emily and smiled reassuringly.

"Yeah, let's go" Emily said. We then walked to our lockers and got our books out for 1st period, English.

English was always rather... Awkward. It was a funny kind of awkward, however, because we had to pretend like we didn't even know each other. During class, I had to be his student and he was my teacher. And that's all anybody looked upon us as. But we knew our relationship stretched far beyond "student-teacher". And that was the amusing part.

We exchanged glances quite a few times and every time we did, it was like a million tiny butterflies going wild in my stomach. I didn't have a clue what he was saying, I was too busy thinking about being with him. We always tried not to look at each other so much, but it's the hardest thing in the world to keep your eyes off your super hot boyfriend!

I decided to doodle for a bit, because I didn't want anyone getting suspicious at the fact I was staring and smiling at him so much. I smiled knowingly as I could see Ezra in the corner of my eye looking at my drawing. "Ms Montgomery," I quickly shut my notepad, "I appreciate your desire to draw but I'd appreciate it more if you'd listen to what I'm saying, it's very important for your exam next week."

We stared at each other, making this now officially the awkward kind of awkward. I was the first to look away because I knew everybody was now staring at us. "S-sorry Mr Fitz." I said knowing I was caught off guard by my own boyfriend!

The bell then went and the whole class laughed as Ezra told them to read over the weekend. "Ms Montgomery, can I have a word?"

"Sure" I said gathering up my books.
We waited until the classroom was completely empty and then Ezra began talking.

"Sorry about that. I had to say something otherwise people would've been wondering why I let you off the hook for things the other students do and get caught for doing..." Ezra said with a laugh.

"I know, no offense was taken!" I said smiling.

"Good. Meet me at my apartment tonight?"

"Will do. Usual time?" I asked walking to the door.

"Sounds good. See you later."

"Bye." I said smiling, walking out of the classroom whilst biting my lip.

I walked out of the classroom to find the girls waiting for me by Hanna's locker. They all looked at me like they'd just seen a ghost. "What's wrong?" I asked worriedly. They all looked at each other and then back at me. "Guys please tell me I'm starting to get scared..."

"We just got a text... from A.." Hanna said looking down at the floor.

"And... What did it say?!" I asked anxiously. None of us had been contacted by A in weeks, so I was feeling sick at the thought of what was going to come out of Hanna's mouth next.

"It didn't say much. It was a picture of you with somebody, you were kissing them, actually."

"Wait what?" I said, I could hear my heart thumping loudly in my ears. I didn't think it had ever beaten as fast in my life before as it did in this moment.

"The caption was this..." Hanna held up her phone so I could see. The message read:

Secrets, secrets, secrets. Looks like your "best friend" Aria hasn't been telling you everything. But I will. Kisses, -A

I can't believe it. A knew about me and Ezra and they were beginning to expose us to everybody, one person at a time.

"So, who's the guy?" Hanna asked curiously.

"Nobody, I-I mean somebody, but I can't tell you now. I will tell you tonight. Wait not tonight um, straight after school?" I stutter and all the girls raise their eyebrows.

"Okay but you HAVE to tell us, because you kinda owe it to us. We're your best friends and you've done a pretty good job at keeping the secret from us until now." Spencer said rolling her eyes.

"I'm sorry guys. I'm super sorry. But the stakes were just too high, it would have been too risky telling you any sooner. You will understand once I tell you. I promise I will tell you straight after school. Meet me in the parking lot." I said with a sigh.

"Okay..." Spencer said walking away with the other girls.

God, A was such a bitch.
