I woke up, inhaling sharply through my nose. Sitting up, I got dressed and headed to grab lunch with BB-40 on my heels. I hurried through breakfast before heading outside to help wherever was needed. There was talk about moving our base so we needed to act quickly. The base was hectic even before but then, there were people running around while trying to dodge any others. It was a crazy scene.

I spent most of the day inside the hanger before I went outside to do some work. I was barely outside for a moment before I heard someone calling my name. I looked up to see Poe standing with another man. Poe was beckoning me over so I made my way through all of the people.

"Naaraa!" Poe exclaimed. "This is Finn. He helped me get out." Poe wrapped an arm around my waist. "Finn, this is my girl, Naaraa."

Finn looked between the two of us before his gaze landed on me. "It's nice to meet you. Poe talked about you a lot while we were escaping."

"Really?" I glanced at Poe. "All bad things, I hope."

Finn smiled a little. "Of course. Poe, can I borrow you for a moment?"

Poe nodded and the two left my side. I looked around, looking for the next thing to do. I found Tallie standing with a new face that I have never seen before but felt familiar with. I wandered over and joined the two. Tallie stopped talking as soon as I came over.

"Rey, this is Naaraa. She's a pilot with Blue Squadron," Tallie introduced. "Naaraa, this is Rey. She was brought in on the Falcon."

"Really?" I held out my hand. "It's nice to meet you. Where are you from?"

She shook it. "Jakku."

"You're a long way from home then," I said. "Do you need someone to show you around the base? I know it can be scary at first."

Rey nodded a little. "Yeah, that'd be nice."

I smiled in an attempt to help her relax more. "Follow me then. It's not too scary, I promise. You'll get used to it once you're here for a while."

Rey nodded, listening quietly as I talked. I showed her around the base. We stopped by the cafeteria to eat quickly before I took her to General Leia's office. I dropped her off so the general could get everything sorted out and went back out to the hangers.

I found Poe in a deep conversation with Finn by his x-wing. I wandered over in that direction, eventually ending up by Poe's side. He wrapped an arm around my waist. I didn't say much in the conversation except for the occasional word or two.

It wasn't too long before Poe excused himself and I to go to his room. It was the only time we had been able to get all day. I wanted to hear his story about his time away. I knew it was tough on him. He didn't look too good when he came back.

We got to Poe's room. He started stripping to his underwear as he went straight to his bed. I lingered behind, looking around his room. It was a mess with clothes on the floor. It was most likely because Poe was gone for so long and didn't have time to clean but also due to the fact Poe seemed liked the messier time.

"What are you thinking there, Princess?"

I looked over. Poe was sitting on his bed in only a white tank top and boxers. He looked rough at that moment. There were bags under his eyes and his beard had gone too long without a proper shave. He looked good but rougher than I could ever remember seeing him.

"Just looking around," I replied. "Your room's a mess."

"I haven't had the time to clean it."

I smiled a little. "So what do you want to do right now? Hang out and talk?"

"I want you to be here with me," Poe replied. "Which means sitting your ass down."

I laughed, joining him on the bed. "Okay. Do you want to talk about your experience while you were gone?"

Poe shook his head. "I'd rather be here with you. Just talk or enjoy your presence. I just don't want to be alone."

I scooted a little closer to him, laying my head on his shoulder. Poe wrapped an arm around my waist, inhaling through his nose. I wanted to enjoy his presence too and if I was being honest, I didn't want to be alone either. It felt like it had been too long since I had seen him. And I hadn't been there to protect him.

We sat there in silence for a while before Poe started yawning. He laid down, pulling me with him. I laid there until he fell asleep before I changed out of my clothes and got back into bed. I didn't want to bother to go back to my room anyways but it was the first time I had spent the night with Poe. Nothing sexual was going to happen, that was for sure. But it was still a new experience, one that I didn't mind happening.

I yawned, shifting positions. Poe moved in his sleep, wrapping his arms around me. I tensed for a second before relaxing. I finally closed my eyes, feeling more at ease. It wasn't too long before I was asleep.
